I made these to add onto gifts I've already finished and to also hand out at a Christmas Dinner this Friday! (Also making chocolate covered pretzel's) They're extremely easy to make and I found a good use for my Toblerone's and Hershey's Bliss

Mine were made strictly from old paper shopping bags (not plastic ones), Yay for recycling! I cut colours from different bags so it would look more 'festive' then glued them back together using the template.
You can use plain brown paper and stamp it with snowflakes, use red/green construction paper or left over scrapbooking paper (would be good as it has some 'thickness' to it) It can be as creative as you make it

    Try it out!

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL FOR HERSHEY'S BLISS BOX

    Template Link: http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/5...emplateqq4.jpg

    1. Print the Template. I know it looks tiny but it can fit a good 6-8 pieces of hershey's bliss!

    2. Cut it out and you should have this left

    3. Find yourself a nice paper shopping bag or anything else you want to use (I chose a ripped up Old Navy holiday bag)

    4. Lay your template on the BACK (don't want your pencil markings to show on the final product!) of the paper and trace it out

    5. You should end up with this (remember to cut the 2 slits as well)

    6. Fold along the dotted black lines and you should see a box shape forming

    7. Fill it up with chocolate (or replace it with anything else you fancy)

    8. Fold it together and you should end up with a cute little box!

    * You can add a gift tag by looping ribbon through the "slits" and hole punching a small piece of paper with the person's name on it to make it personal.

Oh yes! They only work with paper shopping bags! Not the plastic ones, forgot to mention that!

Wow, they look so nice - I wouldn't have noticed they were from old bags.

Did you have templates to use for the patterns - or just traced out the actual box?

I have templates you can trace for different type envelopes
