Yesterday I finally made it to Shoppers World mainly to go to Target for the Glad garbage bags deal(thanks to Heatherwake & momi for the heads up) & possibly across the street to RCSS(the latter didn't happen so maybe later today I'll do that). I entered the mall via Target & quickly noticed clearance signs in the ladies dept & got swayed..I grabbed a pair of pants & a top & asked the fitting room clerk to hold them briefly for me till i return & she cooperated.I quicky went to Pharma Plus & got stamps(to send in 2 MIR offers).I then ventured around quickly & got these:
2 X J&J Naturals (sale $3.99 ea -2x$2 mfg cpn)=$3.98
1 pk Duracell "D" batteries(reg $10.99, on clearance$4.46-$1 P&G cpn)=$3.46
I scurried back to Tget & got my clothing. No Nutri-Grain in Apple Cinn( so no PM & stacking),no A&H laundry detergent that's on sale so I figure I'd check for Iogo Yogurt(bam, they had it) & Finally, the Glad garbage bags....only 1 box left do I grabbed it feeling lucky & happy until I got to the cashier....I asked the cashier to a price check for Raid but didn't get it(awaiting response re CO51 policy b4 I buy it).I then asked her to dbl check the price of the pants & she said it was the price as marked. Having experience professionally & otherwise in retail, I know items do get missed in markdowns. She proceeded to scan it & it was $6 cheaper so it was mine
..She scanned, the top fine... for the yogurt she said one cpn was not correct(my oversight so I took back 1& apologized....then to the garbage bag...she scanned it , read the cpn then said the price of it is lower than the cpn value & I said "And" , so she asked the neighbouring cashier who said"we cannot honour the cpn if the value is > the sale price.I said " says who"..I told the cashier that the item is basically free & that she's wrong.I said this is the last item on the shelf & there's a reason for it so I explained re SC & couponning & policies etc.She called another person"possibly supervisor" who immediately the cpn can only be used on the 40 pk. I replied" Will u please read the cpn, don't just look at the pic".She then said I know bcuz I've been doing these all day for the 40 pk. Did you take this bcuz u couldn't find the 40 pk.I replied yes but also that one is the last one & it's included in the sale. I then told her that if they check their tills, I'm sure the'll find evidence other ppl got the same offer. I stood my ground bcuz I knew I would not leave that store without the bags & I wasn't gonna pay either unless tax only . She overrode it & I said thanks & left. I don't know man, but shopping @ Target has not been smooth the two times I've been there lately...I forgot to check when the garbage bag sale ends but will try another location to get 2 more....hopefully with no issues.
this is the breakdown of my Target not so smooth shopping.
1 pair Merona pants Reg $29.99, ticketed price $14.99, rang up @ $8.99
1 Paul Frank T-shirt reg $14.99, ticketed price $6.49
1 pkg 12x100g Iogo Probio Yogurt (Reg $6.59,PM Valumart $4.99 -$1 target cpn)=$3.99
1x 30 pk Glad garbage bags(sale $1.99 -$2 mfg cpn) FreeThis thread is currently associated with: Kellogg's, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Target, Valumart, Apple, Shoppers Drug Mart, Via RailLast edited by Shirnette; Sun, Aug 11th, 2013 at 01:49 PM.

my last transaction at Target with coupons was not smooth either. it was only the second time I purchased something there. the recent sales are directing more traffic to their stores and hopefully things will improve. the Paul Frank T is super cute.

Target and coupons so far is proving challenging, I've been several times and it's usually a long checkout process. I find the staff is fine with excepting the coupons but they have to get an over ride after a few and then it takes forever. I'm hoping this changes in the future, it would make everyone happier.

I go to the same target all the time and didnt have any issues with stacking or coupons. You shld have asked for rainchecks.for other bags. I have 5 rainchecks and also when the other bags were not on shelf, the floor person helped get some from storage. Hope u have better experience next time.
