Yes. Tested it out at the Metro self check out. After you total your order the "computer lady" first asks if you have an Air Miles card. THEN she says, "Do you have any coupons?" Then you pay the balance.

So the coupons are the FIRST form of payment and cash money is the final payment.

I can't comment on metro but you can buy gift cards at Shell using air miles cash.

Yes, you can now. Before, when they gave you a mailed Air Miles certificate, it said that you could not purchase gift cards.

awesome so i guess the key is to swipe the am card before using fpc? soo good to know. ive got a whole bunch of fpcs im looking to use up and trying to find the best place to do it

Just a word of warning, last time they had an event, spend $60 get 20 air miles, I didn't get them until 120 days passed and I emailed them. I used a lot of coupons, some FPC, some not and I got the base air miles but not the bonus ones. So if you don't see them soon, make sure you keep the receipt somewhere because you will have to email them.
