I am just flabbergasted on the timing of his juice fast, the hardest time of the year for certain! I mean starting before Thanksgiving and wading through Christmas/New Year's and Valentine's Day, this man had some serious strength, which I love that he kept mentioning his Lord, and how he wanted to live in a way that was pleasing to Him. So wonderful!! Thanks for posting both of those Patty, what more convincing does anyone need to even try a 3 or 5 day one? His energy level was the thing that had him so surprised, he was no longer sluggish from eating poorly anymore.

Making jalapenos spice today. Kevin and I picked a bushel on Thursday and today I chopped up about 1/3 of it for the dehydrator. i wear double latex gloves and tape my wrists lol. Kind of felt like Dexter

Larry painstakingly places them on the trays. Looks like it will take about 3 batches to finish off the bushel.

I weighed myself for the first time today since starting my weight loss, lifestyle change. The week of July.22nd was the beginning of this journey. I have lost 8 pounds between then and today. I admit I was nervous stepping on the scale but was very happy with the results. Another 20-25 to go.

we had plenty of slugging to do this w/e with room switching and all, when I weighed myself this a.m. ( yeah I weigh myself every a.m. upon waking) and I was shocked! 2 1/2 more lbs have come off since Friday!! I am not solely juicing, I am eating one small meal near the dinner hour, so far I still feel fantabulous, so I am continuing on this maybe slowly increasing my solid food as I wean off the juices. I will probably have a minimum of 2 a day even if I hit my goal weight, they are just that good in giving me nutritional bang.

Wow that's great!!! I am hoping this week is a bit better. Last week mother nature threw me an unexpected curve ball after 6 months I thought I was done but nooooooooooo. ANyhoo I ended up with the usual bloating etc that goes along with that .

I make 6 litres at a time now so I have juice for Kevin and me for 2 days.

I made curry for supper holy moly it's hot!!

Thanks to Skanky Anisa for the recipe. Kevin loves it. I am eating it very slowly and downing a gallon of water in the process. These sad Irish taste buds are not used to this explosion of hot!!!

We made our own taco seasoning for the first time. Good-bye OEP!!! Tonight's was the best we'd ever had. WAYYYYYY less sodium and more cumin too!
