Thread: Triple-Event Triathlon of Shopping Deals Today!
-
Fri, Sep 13th, 2013, 10:56 PM #1
With so many stores offering extra sales and incentives today, it was hard to know where to get the best deals. So, I combined, PM'd and did a "triathlon" shop.
Today’s triple-event shops went like this. I went:
swimming – through the crowds at Wal-mart’s Anniversary Sale
then
cycling/circling – my way up and down the aisles at RCSS’ No Tax Day
and finally
running – up a long list of items for FREE at Shoppers Drug Mart Spend Your Points, Get Points Back Promo
Some of the highlights:
Wal-mart
3 x Jane’s chicken strips $4.97 – 3 x $2.00 coupons = $2.97 each
Delissio Garlic Bread Pizza $3.47 - $2.00 coupon = $1.47
Delissio Rising Crust Pizza $3.47 - $2.00 coupon = $1.47
RCSS
6 x Centrum $5.97 (PM’d Wal-mart) – 6 x $3.00 coupons = $2.97 each
6 x Advil Cold & Sinus (PM’d Wal-mart) – 6 x $3.00 coupons = $2.97 each
Q-tips $2.47 (PM’d Wal-mart) - $1.00 coupon - $1.47
7 x Duracell batteries $4.19 (half-price!) – 7 x $ .75 coupons = $3.44 each
12 x SunRype Slim juice $2.00 – 12 x $1.00 coupons = $1.00 each (these are normally taxable)
4 x large “CAT” brand construction vehicles at half price for $12.44 each
SDM
18 x VH Steamers $2.99 – 18 x $2.00 coupons = $ .99 each
And a WHOLE LOT of grocery and pharmacy items for a total of $180.80. I redeemed 95,000 points for $170.00, paid $10.80 out-of-pocket and will get 30,000 points back!
I’m tired but it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!
