If I get stuck with the cashier confusing 1 per purchase with 1 per transaction, I usually say..."I'll wait here while you put my items through one at a time....". Then they realize that I have (however many items) and I intend to stay there while they ring them through individually and usually they just put them all through at once.

I predict soon all stores will limit coupons, price matches, etc.. people doing these are taking up way too much time at the cash, customers waiting are walking away. The cashier is spending 15+ minutes on your 'transaction' where the average transaction in the store takes 3-5 minutes.

Cashiers need more training on définitions in my point of view.In training how many hours they receive about that and price matching?
The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!

I love to save money!!! Frugal life hahaah !!!

In all fairness, one per customer means just that. You don't suddenly become a different customer by starting a new transaction. You are still the same customer. If we want stores to respect the one per purchase wording, then we should respect the one per customer wording.
I think your idea of changing the wording re one coupon per item purchased is great.Last edited by DianneS; Fri, Sep 20th, 2013 at 09:06 PM.
So many coupons....so little time!

It doesn't matter how many coupons you are using, or how many transactions, or whether the coupons are printed in black or white, or mailed. It is not enough training or bad training. CSM's thinking they are more "IMPORTANT" than they are. I've run into that more than once. If you do not get satisfaction at store level you go to head office.

I had a similar problem here at walmart, i had a coupon that said 'ANY' of olay.. bar or bodywash.. the cashier argued with me it wasn't in the picture of the coupon, and I explained to her that it says "ANY" she then got her manager and the manager says i couldn't use the coupon.. I said to her to please re-read the coupon it does say 'ANY' and then she went and verified with another manager. Finally, I got the dang OLAY but what a headache. I almost want to hold a cashier gathering just for walmart to educate them. I swear customer service is lack these days!! Sorry, cheekysaver that you had to stand there and deal with an 'un-educated' (with coupons) Cashier, and that you had to deal with crappy customer service, what ever happened to the customer is always right?

Not necessarily. I am super organized with my transactions, and provided the cashier I get is farily literate, my price matching and coupons only add about 1 to 2 minutes to the processing time if I have a large order. Less with a small one. I've even had a cashier tell me that price matching only takes a few seconds.
That said, I have been behind someone price matching who was hopelessly not organized, had every single flyer out (around 12 flyers or more) with not a clue as to which flyer which item was in, and had to search through every single flyer for every single item. Processing her transaction took forever.

Not to me. My RCSS has a lane for price matching, and that lane takes forever as it has more people in it, often with super large orders. I don't use it. But some other customers get upset with someone using one of the other lanes when price matching. Even though I am super organized and do not take longer than other transactions.
I don't want segration in the store. Being forced to use a specific line is not my wish.
