Any recommendations for hand cream?

Vichy Nutri Extra....i use it all over my body and it feel great, it comes in a big jar ( 20-25$)

I've aso seen them in a smaller tube around 10-12$ i think

Avene also has a great hand cream

I agree about Gold Bond.....but i hate the smelling of the green bottle stuff

No, No, No! Long term use of cortisone cream can actually thin out your skin overtime and scare you for life! I’ve tried everything as I have both eczema and psoriasis. I have tried so many chemically based products but I’m now hooked on 100% virgin coconut oil. This stuff is incredible and I have even used it on my face 3 night in a row with no breaks outs even though I have Acne Roscea and not using my steroid medication as a test. I might be able to now stop now all of my medicated face creams if this continues. Chemical based products will never be as good as 100% natural products. I wish I would have known about this 20 years ago as I could have save myself a heck of a lot of money as one jar can last you over a year because it's so concentrated!!!

Interesting, this was mentioned previously too. I think I might give that a try next. I've tried the glysomed and avon moisture therapy...I dunno, things seem to work at first and then...not so much! I bought some Gold Bond today with the $5 printable and they definitely aren't as dry but still get irritated (blotchy/hot/itchy).

I would think that I was allergic/had a sensitivity to a common ingredient in these lotions/soaps I use but it doesn't happen all year long so I tend to rule that out. I've tried wearing rubber gloves when I do dishes (which is quite often with no dishwasher) but they tend to make it worse.

Coconut oil is also great for tanning!

You know you might be allergic to those plastic gloves. My best friend is and can't wear them at all! If she does her hands break out in red patches for weeks. Food for thought ...

That's what I thought when I was working (before I had baby) cause I had to wear gloves all the time at work, but it's still happening so I've ruled that out now too. >.<

I would recommend Arbonne skin conditioning oil, with the handcreme. It will cure dry hands, and will heal any cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, hangnails, or dry cuticles.

We ran out of Glaxal-Base so I ran into Costco last night (tubs are $14.99). While I was there I saw a huge container of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for $17.99 so I decided to try it instead (since I've heard rave reviews lately and DH wanted to try some for cooking).

First impression - you only need a TINY bit, I really wish I didn't buy such a huge container. lol. I had DH put some on my neck/back/arms at 9:30pm and at 111:30 it still felt greasy. I had to put a long sleeve shirt because I didn't want to get my bedding greasy (not sure if it just washes out?). I did my face also, so my pillow smells like coconut. lol

I'm going to give it a few days before making a judgement but I think I'm going to be going back and getting my Glaxal-Base. I need something faster drying for the kids.

I have very dry skin on my hands and feet and will actually crack and bleed if I'm not careful. I've tried many products, but the best ones have been Uremol and Lac-Hydrin. They are pricy but the urea in them really helps. Uremol has the highest amount of urea.

It washes out without a problem in warm soapy water.
That's the oil I use as well but, the trick is to put it on while your skin is still damp, preferably after a shower or bath. I absolutely love the stuff and I've especially noticed a big difference on my face (although I also apply Glaxal Base over it after a few minutes).

I also have extremely itchy, dry, red, blotchy hands in the winter. Instead of using Cortisone (unless necessary) I have found that Kiehl's Baby Lotion is AMAZING! I have tried a lot of lotions (both low end and high end) and Kiehl's Baby Lotion has been by far the best. I have even replaced my much loved Clinique Face Cream with it!
