Sorry for your loss Lynn49, and THANKYOU for your insight on this, I am certainly going to try making my own. I have been skeptical for a long time about all the air freshners but never did anything about it.

I really hate to be a Debbie Downer, Ladies, but please!..before you spray that in your or your kids' rooms, take a peek at the ingredients in Febreze Air Effects for an idea of what you or your children may be inhaling!
I just lost a best friend to a disease that no one knows the cause! (ALS) When that happens to someone you love, believe me, there's no way I'm going to suck in neurotoxins and chemicals which are linked to cancer!

The decision is, of course, yours. I just wanted to bring this to your attention; our kids are physically slower, unhealthier, than my generation was.....and aren't expected to out-live the age of even my parents! What on earth
are we doing to them?!

Sorry...but I'm still recovering from her death and am not in the frame of mind to snort chemicals made by P&G.

Febreze Ingredients (no info on Serenity...even so..they're not obligated to list toxic ingredients...interesting, eh?)

Below you'll find a list of just some of the 87 chemicals found by the EWG in Febreze Air Effects, listed in order of their toxicity to humans:

• BHT - Known as a neurotoxin, endocrine disruptor, immunotoxicity, non-reproductive organ system toxicity, skin eye and lung irritator
• Acetaldehyde - Known to cause cancer, toxic to reproduction and development, immunotoxin, non-reproductive organ system toxin, skin, eye and lung irritator
• "Fragrance" - One of the three ingredients actually disclosed, it's a neurotoxin, immunotoxin and allergen
• Propylene Glycol - Causes cancer, allergies, toxic to immune system, accumulates in the system, non-reproductive organ system toxin, is classified with "enhanced skin absorption" and irritates the skin, eye and lung
• 1,3-Dichloro-2-propanol - Carcinogenic (causes cancer)

• Alcohol denatured - Also disclosed in the ingredients of Febreze, it's linked to cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity, organ system toxicity and skin, eyes and lung irritator
• Butylphenyl methylpropion al - allergen, immunotoxin and and skin, eyes and lung irritator
• Ethyl acetate - linked to developmental/reproductive toxicity, neurotoxicity, organic system toxicity and and skin, eyes and lung irritator

Got mine - it went to our old address, and husband went to pick up mail there from the week. Don't know how long it was in there, but it was frozen, and it's thawing now... smells great!
