Not sure if this has been posted (still in slow-poke mode). These folks did a demo at Dundas Sq of what $1Billion would look like to demonstrate the funds lost as a result of the provincial Libs moving the gas plants.

You know what really hit home with me was an discussion I heard on talk radio regarding this and the idea that Ontario is now in as much financial ruin as the state of California. I am very concerned for the future of this province and the way that our industries are all draining away. We have a few friends who are engineers who were sitting pretty 10 years ago and now are scrambling for jobs. I know economies ebb and flow but this is more like watching it be washed away. I am not one to anger easy but this gas plant fiasco was the icing on the cake for me, I am royally peeved!

the reason i was surprised to hear nickelback was because they've made disparaging remarks about them in the past. listening to kim mitchell backpedal after playing 'photograph' yesterday was quite entertaining.

I'm so glad you were feeling well Loocie,
Yesterday I sold my trailer to a very nice young family.. I have faith that it went to good and capable hands as I lovingly took care of it over the last 11 years and it was noticed.. yea...
Today was an appt with a neurologist.... I am loosing strength in my for arms and pain with pins and needles in my hands and up and down my arms to my sholder and neck.. been about a year now and finally got in to see her.. I have to go back next week for more tests..it is what it is..

I do like Nickelback, and I also like Kim the DJ. Yes, he plays a lot of his own tunes, but I would too if they were my tunes... for the royalties. What I like is when he dissects and analyzes songs, especially the Beatles songs.

OK people I've been asked if I want to go out for lunch & have pizza. I think I shall go & maybe one of my old pizza lunch poems will put you in the mood for pizza too!

Lunch is being served in the Smart Canuck Cafe,
Did you know that you can have pizza at any time of day?
Some people like it gooey & some people like it cheesy,
You can customize your pizza, it is really that easy,
Some people like pizza on the meaty side,
& some like tomatoes that are sun dried,
Some like peppers & some people like ham,
& I guess there are even some who like it with spam,
Some people like onions & a crispy crust,
& throw on extra garlic if you feel you must,
Pineapple, mushrooms, anchovies, salami,
It's your very own pizza, so add some pastrami,
I never thought pizza could be comfort food,
But I must say that I'm in a pizza kind of mood!

Enjoy your pizza date! I want to know where I can get an really good old fashioned pizza these days. I really dont like the chain store ones, with the exception of Pizza Nova on occasion. I dont know if the pizza tasted better in the old days because it was usually consumed late at night, half inebriated but I just cant find good quality pizza-any thoughts?

There is a new place near me. It's just called Pickering Pie. It is a place that originated in Barrie & was featured on that show You Gotta Eat Here. They feature those wood fired ovens & other things on the menu desides pizza. Hard to find a place that just offers decent pizza & pasta.
