Shoppers Personalized coupons - sucking lately?

I have a question, a friend of mine got pay 39.99 for any celebrity perfume. lol I assume all the perfumes are by celebrity. like eliabeth arden, boss, dkny prada etc. these people are all celebrity right? lol

Re: $2 on any cheese ....

Yup - good on one ... got a bunch of the armstrong cheese - first one was 1.88 the rest were 3.88 --still a good price.... I was doing the $100 redemption so loaded up on dairy products ... cheese, milk, cottage cheese, eggs .... and some regular grocery.

If they send me these types of coupons every week I might shop there every week rather than just the bonus 20x shops good marketing on their part. Good shop today -- and almost all free what's not to like?

I agree with Dahliagrower that with these great weekly coupons I end up going weekly to SDM - can't save up for a big shop anymore. This week my husband got

3000 pts when you spend $10 on food and snacks (so easy with $1.99 eggs, $3.88 cheese if they still have any, and peanut butter $2.99 x 3 with coupons)
but also 1500 when you purchase any diswashing soap - sdm has the little ones on sale for .99 so great deal.

My coupons are not great as they don't line up with any sales but do love the anticipation on Fridays now of seeing what will be sent to me (and my DH).

Anyone else notice that the BOGO's say "purchase one qualifying product at regular price and receive second qualifying product at equivalent or lesser value for free"....and "not to be used in conjunction with any other coupon or offers" so rare I'd buy anything at regular price at SDM not sure if I'd use these - anyone ever use and get a great deal?

If they are out of cheese make sure to ask for a rain check and wish for a $2 off cheese before the raincheck expires lol

Right now I have BOGO Cadbury which is $2.49 or $2/4.00 this flyer

If I bought 2 based on prior experience I would expect to be charged $2.49 for bar #1 and $0.00 for bar #2 and full price for any pair of bars after that

I've used this coupon before and in the same situation. The chocolate bars were $1.29 each or 2 for $1.99. I got the 2 and paid$0.99. One was $0.99 and the other was free.

I am so frustrated with SDM and optimum pts. Last month I had an issue using the personal email coupons for 20x any chips ahoy cookies. I purchased 4 packs and never got my pts. I called and cust.service only gave me 740 pts out of the 1400 I was entitled to. They called it a goodwill gesture. (?) Whatever. Then I used another same type of coupon this month and again no points I called and this ignorant rep told me they already awarded me a goodwill and they will not do it again. I explained its a totally different transaction and she said so its the same problem. I shot back, yes with your system not me as a customer. I made the purchase I gave you the proper coupon and you are not honoring it. They insisted that they did last time but wont anymore. So basically she said because I had this problem before I will not be honored any adjustments again. What did I do wrong? She refused to forward me to a supervisor she continued to talk over me and claimed I lied about the coupon because she does not see it on her system and I already called about the same issue last month. I told her I have the receipt both months and I can fax them as proof and I have a copy of the coupon that states that points are to be awarded for the total on all eligible products. She argued no its only on one not all. Basically I got no where as she just talked over me refused me a supervisor and basically said dont use the coupons anymore cause they wont work for me and I can fax her my receipt as proof but I wont get the points. Man I am so pissed off and this ingrates attitude. Nothing like being accused of doing something wrong when you did nothing wrong. Maybe this is a rant but also a question to my fellow SC'ers. Has anyone used this 20x pts coupon successfully? and has anyone ran into this problem with SDM where they claim to not see your purchases on their system even though its on your receipt and just dismiss your issue altogether?
