Yeah looks like the Mega Adoption Event at the Ex is going well so far
Wonder which puds have got their new homes? I'll find out tomorrow! This is from their facebook page!
Wow! Is all I can say. Thank-you GTA for coming out to show such a huge amount love and support for animals in need of a forever home. By 9:30 am there were hundreds of potential adopters lined up outside the doors!
Our first morning here at the Mega Pet Adoption Event has been amazing, within the first 90 minutes over 30 animals had found their new families, that's one adoption every three minutes! But don't worry, we still have hundreds of fur babies here ready and waiting for you to come down and bring them home, and we will be here until 6pm tonight.
Join us this afternoon at the Queen Elizabeth Building on the CNE grounds, where all animals available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated for the low adoption fee of $25. We are also on site Saturday and Sunday from 10-6pm, so you have plenty of opportunities and no excuses for missing out on this fantastic and lifesaving event.

The outdoor installation "Social Pool" is a small pool, available for anyone to use, that is located in an isolated stretch of the Mojave Desert in Southern California. Created by Austrian artist Alfredo Barsuglia, the installation features an eleven by five foot pool, a solar-powered filtration system, and a lockable cover that can only be accessed with a key located at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture in Los Angeles. Upon receipt of the key, prospective pool-goers are given the GPS coordinates of the installation.

Another update from the Humane Society - I am so happy so many are finding their new homes!!!
I think it is more than fair to say that our first day of the Mega Pet Adoption Event was a resounding success, because of you!
We adopted out over 200 animals in 8 hours - about 70 dogs and more than 130 cats! To put that into perspective the Toronto Humane Society adopts out about 250-300 animals a month on average.
A big thanks goes out to our rescue partners and of course all of the adopters that made it down to the CNE grounds to take home a new family member.
Tomorrow we will have tons of cats and kittens waiting for their special someone, but the number of dogs on site will be very limited due to the success of today's event. Arrive at 10am or just before to avoid disappointment,

Nice day today - went down to the beach for a while. Donated a bit of cash to Humane Society International so they can continue doing good in various ways for numerous animals worldwide.

I couldn't believe it when I looked up from where we were sitting in front of the stage. WAYYYYYY Toooooo Cooool!!!! Of all the people Vince is there. He just lost the love of his life a few months ago. He keeps going. What a man. He knows Kim would want him to carry on. Peace and Love!!!!
