[quote=sanny211;599725]argh, I hate it when the cashiers act like they are frggin rocket scientists
LOL that's funny. I had 5 different coupons that I used at wm for 5 different products. The cashier looked at my coupons very very closely, then put them aside, rang everything through and bagged my stuff, then went to enter my coupons, took each item out of the bag, compared it to each of the coupons and FINALLY I left the store. I was at the cash for 25 minutes! The awful thing was that this was the first time that my husband was with me when I used coupons. He ended up leaving to wait outside after 15 minutes and said that he never wanted me to use coupons with him again. He didn't believe me when I said it usually doesn't take so long.
I guess they want to be friggin rocket scientists, but just do not have the speed!

that is too funny. but at least you know he gave you his real name
wasn't there a thread a while ago about how wm is the best place for coupons? using coupons there have never been easy for me. AND they have the rudest/dimmest (as in NOT the BRIGHTEST!!) cashiers. AND their stores are ALWAYS packed (here in alberta anyways). AND they always tell you they won't accept your coupons after you stand in line for 30min to get to the till. I hate wm, only love their deals!

I always have issue with WalMart, and lately get more issue with Zellers as well. But I guess sometimes depends on the location for Zellers. As for WalMart, smaller the location the worse. Last time I went to this location which has two cashiers, and one cashier won't let me use the coupon and hold up the line for a long time.
Now I try not to go to WalMart if possible. Some people mentioned price match with them, they look at the picture instead of description for price match, if the picture is not matching, they won't do it. So, if a product has different type with same price, but if only 1 picture is there, they only match for that. It is such a pain to do it in WalMart.

I had a similar problem at Walmart with the "Buy 3 Save $10" coupon. I was buying body wash and bar soap, but the cashier told me that the products had to be the ones shown on the coupon. I pointed out that the coupon said "any" Olay product but she wouldn't budge.
I then calmly asked her to call up a rep from Health and Beauty, and ask them how many different Olay products Walmart carries. Because, of course, if Olay had to put a picture of every product on the coupon, it would be the size of the Walmart sign hanging outside. I think she got the logic and huffed a bit but accepted it then.
It still bothered me, so I e-mailed save.ca with a suggestion that if a company offers a coupon for "any" product, why not just put the company logo on the coupon instead of a picture depicting only a small percentage of their product line? That way the cashiers just have to confirm that it is (in this case) an Olay product before they process the discount.
I am still waiting to hear back from them. I'll keep ya'll posted!

UGH i hate when that happens! I'm always scared to use printed coupons or coupons over the value on stuff now, coz you never know what the cashier is going to say.

The other day I used a few coupons at Walmart, I'm sure the cashier didn't even look at any of them. She just looked at the dollar amount and put them through - if I had a coupon for a new car, I'm sure the would have given it to me!! LOL

I work a WM I have told many unhappy customers. Do not complain to the duty manager or the manager of the store. Just GO on their web site and complain to them. It may not get anywhere but if enough customers of a certain store complain. They WILL listen!

I was at Walmart yesterday and was told something new by a cashier. I did a lot of shopping and had more than five coupons. She then told me after ringing in about six of them that I could only use five coupons. I almost freaked. I was so pissed, I told her, if you want to ring the purchases in separately then feel free to do so, but take a good long hard look at the line up behind me. She ended up ringing them all in on one purchase but when she did the total the cash said, coupons exceed whatever. Then she had to call the manager over, who then looked at all the coupons again. Then everything was fine. But then I looked at my bill and she only took $1 off when she should have taken $10 off, so I brought it to her attention and then again the manager has to come over and give me the money for it. I thought I was going to be lynched.
There was a time I would have said okay, whatever you say, to the cashier, but not anymore. I getting more and more nervy.

I went to Walmart tonight. I was hassled with the Cottonelle and Tylenol coupons. She had to read every line in the coupon before she would believe it was for the trial sizes too. Then she said I could only use one coupon. She called the other lady and she approved it but only for $0.98 each. At this point I didn't want to argue. Definately a hit or miss at my Walmart. Sometimes they don't even bat an eyelash.

I found a great girl well I keep going to her because she doesn't seems to care
she takes all the coupons
she has seen me a few time and she goes on save.ca herself so she trusts me i guess and she takes my coupons most of the time without even looking at them lol
She's young and talkative so it makes it pleasent
