These are little things I made to go with xmas presents ..
Juicy orange bath cube bombs .. they smell sooo good as I used sweet orange essential oil .. this is one of the cheapest essential oils but is so yummy.

This is essential lemon kitchen spray .. the lemon essential oil was $5 and the spray bottle from dollarama .. just a few drops of lemon and add water and you have a very nice kitchen cleaner .. and deodorizer. The tag just has a brief description of essential lemon oil ..

will be making one more aromatherapy treat ...This thread is currently associated with: DollaramaLast edited by cheryls; Wed, Dec 17th, 2008 at 10:49 AM.

Here is the recipe for the bath bombs:
I cup baking soda - put in large glass bowl
combine 1/4 cup epsom salt with 1/2 cup citric acid and grind up .. I used my magic bullet kitchen appliance to do this. You could also add a few drops of food coloring at this point. I like to keep mine white .. something about bathing in food coloring i don't like! Citric acid is available in some health food stores. I got mine at Vita Health.
Combine citric acid, epsom salt to the baking soda. Add 12 drops or 1 tbsp of essential oil and mix well .. now for the spritzing.
This can be tricky as if you spritz too much the fizzy reaction will start but you need enough moisture to bind the ingredients. Spritz with water on fine mist and stir .. then again .. until the mixture is a little less than wet sand and will hold together slightly when squeezed.
Press into ice cube trays to mold and let dry overnight .. I've tried using the clear xmas ornaments that are split in the middle for a mold but it's a little fussy. There are alot of different recipes for bombs, bath salts, scrubs etc. online .. they can be as expensive to make but there are alot of cheap recipes too .. epsom salts are available at wallmart and are pretty cheap and I stick with the more reasonably priced essential oils .. alot of the other ingredients come right out of your kitchen!Last edited by cheryls; Wed, Dec 17th, 2008 at 11:36 AM.
