I love when the stars align and the target coupon for cards coincides with the Carlton coupon for cards and coincides with the Target gc deal!
I have a $5 gc left from the last time this deal worked together
I had 1 $4 Target coupon off any 2 Carlton cards
I had 2 $2.50 Target printables off any 2 Carlton cards over $2.99
I had 3 $5 Carlton printables off any 3 Carlton cards over $3.29
so:
3 transactions rolling the $5 gc that each gave with the coupons
Trans 1 - 3 kids bday cards - OOP 30 cents
Trans 2 - 3 kids bday cards - OOP 70cents
Trans 3 - 3 wedding cards - OOP 70 cents
9 cards for $1.70 AND I have a $5 gc still from the last transaction - sweet! This thread is currently associated with: Carlton Cards, Target

wonderful savings you got there! Sadly this is why I buy all my cards at the Dollaramma because I just cannot figure out how to make these combo coupons and savings work for me. You did great!

That's crazy. Way to work the deal combo! Where did you get the $4 Target coupons from? Booklet, receipt, or printable?
Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

You must have a computerized mind to calculate how to use these coupon combos. Very nice!

BC Cheapmom, that's not the stars aliging with everything else, that is a genious at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to print this out and study it. That is crazy out of this world. I-I-I need to go study.
I still find it difficult to use the Target coupons and deals and make the most out of the savings there. I seem to be rainman/woman with other deals but Target, an idiot in denile. Maybe because the stores in Ottawa seem so different than others, so many members post about clearances and deals an mark downs and I usualy go and check shortly after with a few days intervals and never anything. There is a newer location maybe they are better but so far..I love the products though but the deals "suck".
Way to go on the deals, thanks for sharing and please share more often oh mighty one...so we can learn. Thanksfor sharing. Lovely find, I love cards too.

So for trans 1 I had 3 cards, 3.69, 3.99, 3.99 - used a $5 mfc, $4 Target, the balance owing was $5.28 - paid $5 with giftcard from former promo, paid 30 cents - was given a new $5gc
trans 2 - 3 cards @ 3.69 each- used $5 mfc, $2.50 Target, balance owing was $5.68 - paid $5 with gc from Trans 1, paid 70 cents - was given a new $5 gc
Trans 3 - Ditto to Trans 2, paid with gc from trans 2, paid 70 cents - given a new $5 gc- socked away until this promo aligns again for either Valentine's Day or Easter
Hope that helps!

This is a great haul and I appreciate you explaining but I am trying to understand why target keeps telling me I am not allowed to use a previous Target gift card on deals when a Gift card is given.
For example I asked them if I purchased the when you buy 3 Glade products receive a $5 target gift card would I be allowed to used the gift card on my second transaction and they said I would not be allowed to use it on my next glade purchase ??
However I keep seeing everyone is being allowed to use gift cards in different transactions or different days on promotions where gift cards are given.
If anyone knows or has advise please let me know

There should be a section in here somewhere for Target stacking.

I don't know why you'd have any problem at all, a giftcard is just money - it can be used strictly as cash at Target and isn't related to anything. I first saw gift card promos at Target on US couponing websites years ago and they took people through the concept of 'rolling' gift cards at Target on subsequent transactions - it's a very well known concept in the States and Target so it sounds like your Target staff don't have a clue? And on the coupon side Target policy is for 4 like coupons per day which means there can be no issue with doing up to 4 transactions on the same day with the same coupons, gift cards aside, it just makes no sense!

Thanks for the reply I agree with you and couldn't understand why I keep seeing others being able to do this. Target on facebook told me no, staff at target told me no and the head office recently told me no as well. I was told the system wouldn't allow it which isn't true because you were able to do it with your purchases.

Wow, that is crazy! It's interesting that they say it's the system versus policy as clearly there us nothing that says 'on your next purchase' anywhere!? I've done it oodles of times with no issues except that a certain order has to happen in the sale - they have to ring in the new gc and total it before they can start taking payment and that ringing in the gc can slip up a newbie cashier, I've seen it twice but a supervisor always walks them through it. Good luck at your store!
