Well for what I thought was going to be a horrible year for collecting airmiles ended up half decent. My account is nice and fat again. Now bring on the Safeway e-auction and open up the flight reward booking dates for next winter!

I just got 2 entries of 25 airmiles each that show 888 Red River Rd Shell station dated Dec 19 and 22 that say THANK YOU FROM SHELL. My problem is that we filled up twice during the summer (Jul 22 & Aug 18) but we have not been back there since. Anyone else get anything from Shell? I guess this could be a mistake that they will end up correcting.

Maybe it is just a year end bonus. We don't usually buy our gas at Shell and the Thunder Bay location (888 Red River Rd) was the last time we filled up at there and that was in August.

I'm about to try some of the Thrifty's B2G50 Wong Wing products to see if they are worthwhile as a travel food. If they pass the test I'll load up tomorrow.

The pineapples are a good deal at Sobey's this week. $1.99 each, buy 4 and get 50 airmiles. Too bad they weren't riper, I would have bought a dozen.

A quick way to peel them is to lop off the top and bottom, then cut around the inside with a paring knife from top and bottom, cut down the side and take the jacket off in one piece. My son makes a lot of protein smoothies, and he adds frozen chunks of pineapple mango and banana, so we go through a lot!

2/2 on the free nestle chocolate bars. I never got the code for redbox either. poor week for deals. The email-directs this week were pathetic in my eyes. Were going on vacation for awhile so hopefully no really good deals come up while we're gone
