I just threw out a stack of expiring coupons and the SDM optimum deals are blank. I'm still hoping to score some good deals in January.
To maximize optimum points you can combine a flyer promo or personalized coupon with bonus points that are attached to a product and use a manufacturers coupons. For example: Zantac will be 40x the points on Saturday and it could be a possible money maker if you have a manufacturers coupon or rebate offer. Money makers are items that you purchase and you convert your earned points into something you want. I personally look for all money makers to purchase and donate to a neighbourhood food bank and use the points to buy my groceries.
Here are some non personalized combo deals. Will update if there are some changes.
    Jamieson -1000, 500, 300 bp
    Solo Care Aqua B1G1 free
    Canesten 10x
    Opti-free 20x
Zantac 20x $2 print coupon healthy essentials
    ZzzQuil 20x
    Salon Grafix 10x
    Bic disposable razors 10x
    Fekkai 10x
Katy Perry & Calvein Klein 8000 bp
Quo cosmetic bag 5x makeup products 10x
    Almay makeup B2G 1500bp + $3 wus $8 coupon-save.ca
    eggs 1.77 + $1 coupon wub2 - coupon found websaver.ca
    LB sonic skin care 10x
Gosh eye and lip products 10x
    Soap & Glory 10x
    Indeed skin care 10x
To answer someone's question about eggs. Eggs can be a filler item for those times you are short on the minimum amount. There were times I was short 10 cents and needed anything or lose my points. This week eggs are a good price with 20x the points and a coupon. Last week my filler was pop and it was rejected.

Some of this is a bit outdated, but it should still help you

Thanks! But I was wondering how points are awarded to each item. For example, how many points are eggs worth?

Thanks. some good suggestions, as the flyer really isn't that big and I'm not sure I can even get to $50!

I guess I'll see what my personal offers are too

Looking forward to it. Plan to get there shortly after midnight to avoid tomorrow's bad weather. Combined with other personalized offers, I should be able to do a decent shop.

Before coupons, but do not use FPC's or BOGO's, just regular cents or dollars off.

If Zantac is on promo for 20 x pts and today bonus if 20 x pts on $50 or more. Then how many pts would you get for Zantac?
    Let's say it's on sale for $15 then reg pts x 10 = 150 then 20 + 20 = 40 x 150 = 6000 pts?

Let's say you're spending exactly $50, and the only thing with bonus points is the Zantac at $15 (and you just buy one).

You get 150 + 2850 points for the Zantac (to make 3000 for 20x)
And then 500 + 9500 for the total transaction
    That makes 13000 points.

Technically you are getting 40x on the Zantac, because the base points are multiplied twice....but the second 20x is within your total transaction, so I wouldn't necessarily say you get 6000 points just for buying Zantac (like, you wouldn't get 6000+10000).
