You didn't say what kind of boots..dressy or for the snow!! My best ones are Sorel, they come in all different styles and colors, they're a bit clunky..I've had a pair for almost 20 years!! They are comfortable, warm and don't get ruined..I've even bought some for my girls..at first they were like I'm not going to wear those but now they use them..there are great deals now at Sears, sport chek etc..

Oh yes, definitely for the winter I walk everywhere...they need to be good for rain, sleet, ice and snow haha
I know what you mean by clunky for the Sorel boots. I tried on a pair and wasnt sure if they would break in a little more as I wore them. It's amazing that you've had your boots for 20yrs though!

If you are able to shop an independant store with some winter boots on sale now, you probably can find a new pair. Mall stores won't have much selection.
Miller's Shoes in Hamilton has a full page colour ad about its boot sale. The store does online orders (main store) but I'm not sure the store has its offers posted. Ah, the ad is posted Jan. 16 on the Facebook page.

Their clearance store is good for smaller sizes (under 10); hit and miss for larger women's sizes.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I use a pair of packable hunters with fleece boot socks. They keep my feet nice and toasty(wear thin socks under the boot socks for extra warmth) are easy to clean, and light weight. I found the original ones hard to walk in.
I've only had these since August, but I know people who have owned them for years with no complaints.

I've gone through a pair of winter boots every year. Never fails, by end of February my feet are in bags just to extend them one more month.
This past November I bought Sorels. The Tivolil high. I've worn them through slush, two parades in one day, piles of icy snow, and almost-frozen puddles and my feet have never once been cold or wet. And believe me, that's saying a lot. My feet are unhappy little campers on any given day- always cold and complaining. This is the first year I haven't stopped winter activities with the kids because I'm tired of cold, wet feet. Best $150 I ever spent, hands (feet) down.

I've had emu boots for 6 or 7 winters, and they're just starting to wear out now. Paid under $100 at Winners.

I have sorels - joan of arc
I had high hopes for them - they keep me dry and thats about it. They appear to be well made but they do not keep me warm enough. I would have to say that my Uggs from about 8 years ago will keep me warm - however, not waterproof.
