Good morning, everyone.

Had a fun time yesterday with friends, but it was bittersweet. One of the gang is very ill. I'm grateful that she made it out, even tho she was clearly not well, it's likely the last time I'll get to see her.

Another friend is going in for major surgery tomorrow - she had a similar operation last year, but it didn't work out properly. Last year she spent 3 months in rehab, hopefully this time things work and she can be back home in a month.

Can use all the prayers you can spare for these ladies. If you met them, you'd love them.

bff is coming by tonight to take me out for a raspberry beer (after my usual Monday night gang gets together). I think D heard the sadness in my voice and wants to cheer me up. Going to spend the day trying to work on my priorities. There are a few friends I've been meaning to get in touch with, but life keeps getting in the way. I should know better than to put things off.

Sorry for sounding so melancholy. Too many unhappy things going on at once right now.

Better go squish the brats. That's always the best way to start the day.

Some born in the 60's & 70's & always give their best,
Some people in here are chatty & have a lot to say,
Some people write endless poetry to try & drive their cares away,
Some of us are hard at work or at least trying to look busy,
Some of us get overwhelmed & end up in a tizzy,
We do all have a common purpose & it is our nature to share,
There are other places where you can go, but they do not compare,
If you do not mind a bit of nattering that takes place from time to time,
Then come & hang out often, & it doesn't cost a dime,
If you have any ideas or jokes, we all things in jest,
& route for our Club “Q” comrades in each & every contest.

I just checked out the ticket prices for Chicago at the Molson Amipitheatre on August 28th of this year. The tickets range in price from $30.00 to $170.00 - That would be an expensive night eh?
It was a better Q-107 when we could try & win these things by using up all of our points. If they restored all the trivia, sleuths, & slots, Loocie would be happy. They certainly play enough ads!
