Had the annual once over at the Cardiologist today.
Got the go ahead for another year. Stress test next year.

I suggested we go through that every Monday morning, he just laughed.
Said something about we do it with wires attached.

Yeah and I have to sign a waiver acknowledging you are going to try and kill me,
and sign a consent form so you can do your best to bring me back to life.
He agreed "Pretty much so", with a laugh.

Miss Vanessa will be brightening my door in an hour or so.

Afternoon Q sters,
Yesterday was a very tough day. After 18 years & 3 months, I had the very difficult task of taking one of my baby furballs to the vet. She just wasn't right after the move. At 1st, I thought it was just an adjustment period of getting use to the new place. The other 2 came around, but Smokey just wasn't the same. Friday, she was throwing up & while I took her to the vet on Caturday, there wasn't much they could do, so the decision was made to send her to cat heaven. I was with her for her final journey & the flood gates were just streaming. Out of the 3, she was the quiet one, never complained, just loved me unconditionally. Loved sitting on me, to be scratched & just purred. She was the one that had thyroid cancer 3 years ago & had it removed. She almost didn't make then, but bounced back & had 3 more years of her company. This time was just too far gone. The vet could have done a battery of tests, pumped fluids & drugs into her, but for what. To live possibly another few months. Why prolong the agony, I couldn't do it. I felt it was better to send her to cat heaven, where she is happy, healthy & playing with others. A friend of mine, who lives just down the street from where I use to live, allowed me to bury her in a nice spot, under a pine tree. We had a nice send off & the flood gates were a flowing again. Gave her a nice marker & can visit whenever I wanted. I will miss her dearly, she was my furball.
