Trudeau Says Liberals Will Name Cabinet Nov. 4

Mark November 4 in your calendar – that’s when Justin Trudeau will be sworn in as Prime Minister and when he’ll unveil his new cabinet. Trudeau says he will recall parliament as soon as possible, although there is no real time line. Meanwhile, there are a few names being tossed around as to who may replace Stephen Harper as Conservative leader: Lisa Raitt, Tony Clement and even Doug Ford.

Toyota to Recall 6.5 Million Cars to Fix Power Window Switch

In the market for a new vehicle? Consumer Reports is out with its annual list of the most reliable vehicles. At the top is Lexus followed by Toyota, with Audi, Mazda and Subaru rounding out the top 5. Toyota Motor Corp said on Wednesday it would recall 6.5 million vehicles globally to fix a defect in the power window switch in models including the Yaris/Vitz subcompact, Corolla, Camry and others. Of the total, about 2.7 million cars are in North America.

Blue Jays Now in Must Win Territory in the ALCS

The Blue Jays are on the brink of elimination in the ALCS. Toronto was hammered 14-2 by Kansas City in Game 4. That puts them behind 3-1 in the series with Game 5 this afternoon at Rogers Centre. Starting pitcher R.A Dickey allowed four runs in the first inning and another one in the second inning, before he was pulled. It was already 12-2 in the 9th inning when Jays manager John Gibbons decided to make a surprising move and call infielder Cliff Pennington to the mound. History was made in the moment.
