Finally a thread to get me out of the lurking shadows. The main reason I collect points is to redeem for fancy make-up/skin care.

Facial sprays use water as a carrying medium but they contain other ingredients as well. They also have a few different uses from moisturizing the face (these usually contain glycerin), to making makeup last longer. I have never used the smashbox charged water but I have used two others that are available at Shoppers. The L'oreal Infallible one is decent. I use it after make-up application to take off any of that over powdered look. It doesn't really extend the wear time of the make-up in my opinion but it does make your make-up look more natural, like it's part of your skin rather than sitting on top of it. The other one I've used is Urban Decay's All Nighter. This stuff is pricey but fantastic. It significantly increase the wear time of make-up.
Edit: I totally meant to quote the previous discussion. My bad.Last edited by adastra; Thu, Nov 26th, 2015 at 02:08 AM.

That's a surprisingly difficult question to answer. I tend to like a select products from a wide variety of brands or whole lines that are carried by few stores or murale.
These are a few winners in my opinion:
Nars - Most products are very good.
Notable products
Pro Prime Eyeshadow base - makes my eyeshadow say crease free all day
Any of their blushes - I currently only have the colour Luster but I love it
Lip Crayons - makes lipstick application easier, great long wearing formula
Urban Decay - Most products are great.
Notable products
Naked Palettes - line of nude more wearable eyeshadows
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - my everyday go to foundation. It works with "normal" to combination skin.
Some "drugstore" favourites of mine are
L'oreal Voluminous Mascara
L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid foundation
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob
Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
Maybelline Matte lipsticks
Good gosh this is way too long. If you have questions about any brand or product let me know I may have tried it out at some point.Last edited by adastra; Thu, Nov 26th, 2015 at 02:25 AM.

Today i was talking to someone who is a pro make up artists. She said that loreal was a parent company and loreal owns urban decay (). According to her loreal owns so many brands. I guess Dessange is also a loreal brand.
But about finishing sprays..she said that she loved loreal setting spray. She uses it for herself and for the brides she makes.
But nkw that my confidence is shaken because of our trust worthy sc members... i am going to keep my m o n e y...uhuh....i am going to SPEND my mone on other beauty stuff. Lol

Im personally not a super fan of smash box, but I love benefit! The gimme brow is excellent! Lip tints and high beam are also great. I also love the cream shadow and blush. The only thing I'm not super crazy about is their mascara. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and stays on all day, but it's impossible to get off!
Overall, benefit is one of my favourite brands for sure!

I purchased the contour kit yesterday (now to perfect using it) and got a 5ml sample of photo finish primer water to try....maybe amira84 you should ask for that specific sample, instead of spending your money on it immediately!

As far as setting sprays go, I am not a huge fan, I find that for oilier skin types (my t-zone is horrible) alot of them make my skin oily faster, especially the L'oreal Infallible one....I do like MAC fix plus though, just to knock down the powder look or to intensify colour, but it does nothing to increase the longevity of makeup! I wish my SDMs sold Urban Decay, I have heard really good things about the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray

Okay now this is truly against the spirit of this thread but i really want some motivation/scolding () to make me stop buying more make up. Is there someone who can join me on this? May be we can make our small targets to NOT buy more make up until so and so months or until so and so happens or jntil we save so and so $$$.
I really need to stop buying. Oh gosh, only 2 eyes and so many eye shadows, liners, mascaras.
