ATO fighter’s last FB post: “War doesn’t exist for you, but you’re still tired of it all!”




Oleksiy Boldyrev noted with sadness that some “tired” people do not understand who and why our soldiers are fighting.

ATO soldier Oleksiy Boldyrev (aka “Malyuk” (Kid)) died on December 9 when a mine exploded under his vehicle.

Here is Oleksiy’s last post on Facebook, written during the night of December 2:

“We keep hearing this phrase: “People are tired of this war”… Dear people, take a break! We aren’t tired and we’ll protect you while you’re relaxing. War doesn’t exist for you, but you’re still so tired of it all… Don’t worry! Here, where there’s no war either, we, the idiots that we are seeing that we could have bought our way out and scampered off to another country, we’ll protect you and your holiday time. We don’t know how to feel tired… And there’s no need to get all heated up about the boys here! After all, you didn’t ask us to defend you. You really don’t understand who we’re actually fighting here… But that’s not important. After all, you’re so tired. So take a break and rest.”

Sergeant Roman Kopatsiy, father of six died on 11 Dec. He was 35.

Liberated from captivity in July, from then in hospital.

Roman was captured by terrorists on May 31, 2015.

Roman’s injuries (from capture)
– both arms are broken;
– both legs (or feet, details unknown) were shot through;
– multiple stabbing wounds on chest and stomach;
– his liver has multiple cuts;
– injured diaphragm;
– his intestines have multiple punctures (the torturers pierced him with an awl);
– he has a severe sepsis (the awl was rusty).
– Roman used to have a tattoo with Ukrainian Trident and the word “Lviv” (a city in Ukraine). The torturers ripped the tattoo by cutting the skin off.

He had eight surgeries, was in a coma.

Minister of defence awards servicemen of Lithuania, USA and Canada

LVIV OBLAST — During a working travel at the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Defence, awarded a group of servicemen.

Stepan Poltorak presented Orders of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (Honor Order) to the Ukrainian and U.S., Canadian, and Lithuanian servicemen.


“You are in the armies of different countries; meanwhile, you strive for peace and defend the independence of your countries. Thank you for service!” Minister of Defence of Ukraine stressed.
