I normally just take my make-up off in the shower at the end of the day with some dove soap and then use a facial wash afterwards. I was wondering if anyone knew of an easy way to get foundation off the face? Especially if I want to go to the gym and need a quick way to wipe the make-up off as I don't like to work out with make-up on.

I know this is an old post but just in case you are still searching.
I just take a tiny bottle of jojoba oil with me, slap it on my face and wipe it off with a tissue. I probably do it a couple of times then rinse my face with luke warm water. It is an ingredient in my Monsia day moisturizer and I had read that jojoba oil is good for many things, as a face moisturizer, facial cleanser, hair conditioner, etc., (if you want to read all the others see http://www.wellnesstoday.com/beauty/...for-jojoba-oil)

For quick ways to remove makeup I second (third?) makeup remover wipes. Throw a pack in your gym bag. I like the Cetaphil wipes, they are super gentle but effective. Speaking of household things, oils such as olive oil do a great job - but you need a damp face cloth to wipe all the residue off afterwards, you can't just rinse your face with water.

Surprised no one's mentioned micellar water. I used to think "Why would I pay for a bottle of water?" but this stuff is amazing. It completely stopped my skin from breaking out and having dry patches.

It apparently contains tiny molecules that dissolve oil and pigments without disrupting the skin's moisture. It's often on sale and you just need cotton pads - a bottle lasts forever and it ends up being way cheaper than makeup wipes. (Also you can control how much you use, if you only need to take off eye makeup you use one cotton pad and a bit of liquid. Compared to wasting a full wipe whether you need it or not)

I like Garnier's brand, the sensitive skin kind (pink lid) was a bit too moisturizing for my oily skin but the one with the green lid (oily formula) works great for me
