@Frugalbigmama , good deal! For those of us who have kids in hockey, this is the time of year I use to dread (trying on all of the equipment, seeing what they needed to get). We are probably in our last year of minor hockey and luckily not too much to buy this year but yikes, it's expensive!

Yes it can be expensive but not if you are a SmartCanuck
. I find this is the time of year to get stuff because they have tons of clearance since new stuff comes out. I always have to tell his father to wait till the clearance stuff is ready.
My son plays all year long so it is never a surprise what he needs lol. I just bought him $90 gloves for $30. ( he had a hard time giving up his old ones and has had them for years so happy he finally found a pair that felt good and comfy!!)

I'm on the same page. I am buying logoed sports junk for xmas right now because it is the changeup in the seasons and there are some awesome deals to be had. I got a $60 NHL embroidered hoodie for $13 on Amazon (it's back up to $40) and maybe a Wild backpack for $11 (it's on backorder...we'll see).

Colgate Sensitive Relief (2): $3.98 (PM Metro; $1.99) = $4.50 - $3.00(2 @ $1.50) + 800PC = $0.70 -> Reg $8.00 Approx
Oral B Toothbrushes (2): $2.00 (Reg; $2.26 Taxed) - $2.00 WUB2 = $0.26 -> Reg $4.00 Approx

Ha, yes I know that point too...saw my son's under armour shirt he wears for hockey and I swear I bought it back when he was 10yrs old (he is 17 now). I don't know how he even gets it on. We use to try and buy new skates in the spring after rep season was over as that seemed to be a good time for sales. But teenage boys over the summer sometimes equals big growth spurt!

My WM had the 16 packs of Motts Fruitsations frozen bars for $1.24.
I bought 11 and used my $1.00 coupons (from packaging), as well as a tub of blue sharks (clearance for $1-ish) and a large bag of jujubes (clearance for $1-ish).
Low and behold all the items rang up as regular price, so after SCOP and taxes, I paid a mere $3 and change

Went shopping in my closet for an evening purse to wear to a wedding this weekend. The ones I liked in the shops were over ,$40. I bought an antique beaded bag at a garage sale a couple of years ago for $4. Also will wear a lovely retro Crystal necklace that my mum left to me. They look lovely together. (I won't tell you what I had to pay for sandals for my wacky feet! )

Pm'd Loblaws becel margarine $3.99 and used the $2.50 printable coupon and claimed $1 co51, making the net cost $.49.
Starting tomorrow you can use the RCSS flyer to pm the 680 g or 907 g Becel @$3.99 and do the same thing. There is a limit of 1 claim per CO51 account.
At Walmart I bought 4 bags of Welch's Juice Ice Bars @ $1.24 each. When I went to pay, they rang in at $4.97 each so I got one bag free and they took down the sale sign after I purchased them. Paid $4.20 with tax altogether.

SCOP. Went to Freshco and got gala apples on sale for $1.29lb, 2.84kg, got to the cash and the system charged me 3.95kg, cashier called the manager and he said give it to her for free. Almost $5.00 of apples free! I don't think he was going to change it. They would prefer to give 1 or 2 people their items for free and make a profit on everyone else!!. It's like they know what they are doing, and no one complains but me. This is awful, I saw a lot of people with these apples in their cart, do you think these people know, no!! This happens all the time, I get a scop everytime I go, grapes, apples, peppers. Make sure you watch for this, it's happening more than we know!!
