Cold Snap Here for a While

Toronto is dealing with the latest cold snap of 2017. Temperatures dropped to -20 with the wind chill overnight and are not expected to get any warmer than -6 until at least Monday.

Dramatic Footage Shows Ice Falling Off Truck on Ontario Highway

A dash cam video caught what happens when ice falls off a truck travelling on Highway 400 and lands onto a car windshield. The video shows chunks of ice coming off the roof of a passing tractor-trailer when one of the pieces crashes into another driver’s windshield, knocking the dash cam down. Despite the safety risks, there isn’t a clear-cut law dealing with this sort of incident. WATCH VIDEO HERE

Canada, U.S. Battle for Gold at WJHC

Another chapter of the Canadian-American hockey rivalry will be written tonight as Canada takes on the United States for gold at the world junior hockey championship at Montreal's Bell Centre. The Canadians' only loss at the tournament this year came against the U-S when the Americans beat them 3-1 in their final round-robin game.
