Would you allow your children to go on a slumber party?

Hi guys! Given the current situation of our society nowadays, would you still allow your children go to slumber parties? I have experienced it before and of course, as a grown-up teenager, it was all fun. But nowadays.... I have some reservations about it. What are your thoughts on this?

I think it's important to know who the parents are...what their values are and whether or not you want your child hanging around with the other child/kid. Teachers also come in handy for info...

Mine aren't allowed and they're 7 and 8 yr old boys. Think you must know the parents well. Even then can't be too trusting. I find many parents don't really watch their kids(or in the same way I would). A few years ago my oldest was invited to a classmates bday party/sleepover. First, I mentioned to the mother he wasn't allowed to attend unless I came with him and so glad I did. For one thing they have 6 kids. All of her kids minus the bday boy invited a friend or two. Plus, she had 3 kids there she babysat. On top, the bday boy had 10 friends. The bday friends played in the boys room on the computer..I dk maybe I am weird but no one checked to see what sites they were going on or what they were doing. Same with outside..no one really checked on the kids. So the next morning as the story goes the kids were playing outside(we didn't stay for the sleepover). One guest decided he was going to hang off the clothes line on the step(which no longer had a rail just a big slab of concrete). The boy fell off and broke his arm and the parents had no idea!

Was so glad I had listened to my gut on this and said no!

The concerns that people have now have always existed but nowadays these things have become more widely known. For me I think its a no unless its close family.

If I know who the parents are, i would still allow.

too many child sex predator's out there
and its usually someone close to the child and have easy access to them
better to be safe than sorry
