I had some fun shopping at Walmart on Friday! Both of my little dudes needed new socks (we have a resident sock monster), so we went to Walmart. They had Sesame Street socks (6+1 pack) marked for $6.96...so I grabbed a couple (good price for little boys socks!). Grabbed a few other things that I had coupons for and headed to the checkout. The socks rang in at $9.97, so I SCOPed (first time!!!)...the cashier didn't have a clue what I was talking about, but the CSM sorted it out. Then I gave her my coupons after everything was through (a biggish stack of coupons), and her jaw dropped...she was so flustered I swear she almost had an aneurysm or something...it was mildly amusing...then she gave a lecture on how you HAVE to give your coupons at the beginning or next time she won't accept them...blah, blah...so yeah...saved like $30 with the SCOP and the coupons, and got a laugh at the same time!

Oh yeah right SHE won't accept the coupons next time??? Who is she, Mrs. Walmart?? Once again "What's it to them?" You would think the coupons are coming off their paycheck.
Great deals. Good on the SCOP.

Congrats on SCOPing! I've only ever done it once, but it feels good to do it.

Nice work!
Yeah right, give coupons at the beginning- I had never heard of that before this site, but since reading have tried two things: put coupons right on the item, so they see them as they ring them through [ my most common method], or hand them all up front. Though many cashiers appreciate having them on the items, I've been told for BOTH methods by cashiers at WM "Oh, I don't need these until the end" [!]I'd love for you to take a look at my shop! Handmade fine jewellery: high quality, reasonable prices, locally made [by me!]

ya same with my WM! i put the coupons right in front of the cashier and he totally ignored them, so i picked them back up to save till the end so he doesn't lose them. they always seem to ring them in at the very end anyways, and then they dig through my bags to see if i bought the right items *sigh lol

Some stores are set up so they have to ring the coupons in at the end., If the item is fpc and needs a price on it i give to them when that item goes thru so they can write the price on, and not have to search for it later.Otherwise I wait until the end for the rest of the coupons so they do not forget to ring them thru.

I put the coupons on the products on the conveyor so they dont have to huff and puff and recheck/recount my items in the bags LOL, had that happen once at self checkout!
