Did you know that when you shop at Tim Horton's and you are purchasing three large coffee's, you should ask for two and pay $2.98 because when you get the third coffee you then must pay $4.81 for the three coffee's. That is an extra 34 cents because you order three coffee's. Tim Horton's indicated that because of the tax over $4.00 changes the outcome.

Tis true! When you purchase prepared food.....yes, this includes coffee, and the purchase price reaches the "magical" $4.00 mark, PST of 8% kicks in on the entire value. I tell them I have two orders or more depending on what I am ordering so that my order is less than the $4 mark and therefore does not accrue the extra 8%.

Wow I didn't know that. That's for all of Canada right? I stopped buying their cafe mocha, now I just order half coffee and half hot chocolate. You only pay for the price of regular coffee.

Thank you for reminding me about this $4.00 thing in Ontario.
When I lived in B.C. they did not have this silly tax.
