Thinking tonight we may grab take out and Fish and Chips, I had told Mom I would treat her to fish and chips a few weeks back only to discover the place in town is now only open on weekend. Since I am working out of town and Mom is working later than me, think tonight is the night we have Fish and Chips.

Thanksgiving Dinner at the trailer, cooked a duck indirect on the BBQ with seasonal veggies grilled and steamed.
Kir Royal as a compliment, the Cassis is from Kinsip distillery up the road and the bubbly from Waupoos Winery.

Our thanksgiving up north went over well. Amazing how much work a bunch of younger people can get done so quick. Pumpkin carving went over well as usual and the meal turned out amazing. Came back early as my mother wanted to be at her retirement home when they do their thanksgiving

More of the spiral ham, with a glaze sauce that turned out *really* well. A carrot-mushroom loaf that my DH requested, with a salad and home-made rolls. A slice of pumpkin pie...and we're done.

Anyone having Lemon Breasted Turkey?

No turkey here today maybe later in the week. I ordered a clod of beef from a local guy here and it arrived on the weekend. I had no idea what that was so had to goggle it...it turned out to be a big hunk of shoulder beef. I cut mine up into 6 roasts and some fry meat. etc. Its really good beef @3.99/lb. So yesterday I put one in the slow cooker with all the veggies and it was really delicious...so leftovers for this evening.
We had our annual harvest festival on the weekend and I'm very proud to announce that I won first place Blue Ribbon for my purple kale
Sample pic of my kale (I've posted this pic before)

Appetizers tonight, as we watch a movie. We've eaten and eaten and over-eaten all weekend...so it is a platter of nice cheeses, sliced meats, and appetizers like rumaki, etc. Whatcha bet 1/2 of these end up as dog treats? Seriously, we need to lighten up on the food.
