Roland hasnt had it easy. He was abused by his former owners and then abandoned and got sick with a neurovirus and was found near death. now though, he is a sweet and loving dog who isnt shy about letting me know when and where he wants to be petted

Roland isnt good with other dogs, as he used to fight with them for food when he was abandoned. When taking him out to my backyard so he could play in the snow, he saw another dog and ran so fast he almost pulled my arm out and attacked the other dog. The other dog is a friendly Golden Retriver who is also a loving dog but he defended himself well,. Both were bruised and bleeding but his owner understood and didn't hold it against me. I took him to the vet, and will be more careful in the future

That episode with the Golden retriever pooch sounded frightening for all involved. Thank goodness his owner was very understanding of Roland, not a lot of owners would be I'm guessing.

Roland is lounging around these days, but whenever i open the fridge he is instantly by my side and wants food...its kinda cute actually
