what is with all spam lately in this forum!!

There are a bunch of threads on the forum I am unable to view now. When I click on them, the following page comes up with a message saying, "You have hided this thread click here to unhide this thread". (Yes, "hided" instead of "hidden"... ) Most are threads that the spammer "buttercreamviolins" has ambushed.

If the spammer posts are less than 50 I can delete them all, but if they are more than 50, i will 'hide' them. It is easier that way for me. But I will try to delete them all first before 'hiding' from now on.

My apologies, Couponlady - I assumed the 'hidden page' message and inability to see threads was something the spammer/hacker did. I had never seen that message on the forum before.

So I guess when I notify about a spam post you get the message and are the one looking into it. You know what they say, Dirty job but someone has to do it. lol Sometimes blocking an IP address helps but not always because they might be using a VPN program to hide their real IP address so it could change all the time.

Yes blocking IP doesn't help, they use dif IP every time.
