New $ store items out

I was just wondering if any one else had seen any of the new $ store items that are more than $1?

While in the Bedford $ Store today I noticed they were starting to put the new higher priced items on the shelves. I didn't get any today but some of them are really nice.

I saw for $2:

Glass candy dishes - very nice thick glass - almost looks like crystal

Baby diaper shirt - yellow, pink - maybe blue

Baby slippers/booties (reg. $5.99) These are absolutely adorable! I can't recall the brand name - but I'm pretty sure they sell it at Toys r us.

Adult slipper socks - very nice - different styles (price on tag reg. $12.99)

Garden nomes and rock like decorations - I didn't like these but I'm sure my MIL will have a pile of them come spring lol

Oval (oblong) tin pots - these are super nice! They have a clear high gloss coating on them (come in diff. colors) - these will be great to use for smaller gift baskets.

If you saw any newer item please post what they were.

i also noticed they were adding items at the dollarama near me. don't remember any exact items. they had signs saying no price increases, just more products avaliable.

My husband is gonna have a heart attack when I get home tomorrow. My saturday went from only going tanning...to going to walmart then zellers and now the dollar store!!! Thank you for posting!!

eh redmouse, I was at the dollarama yesterday and got my grandma to ask the lady about the price increases and she told me that the items they currently carry wont increase in price, they will just be getting new items in that will be a higher price but not more than $2 ... so no real worries for me

The thing that makes me laugh about the price increase is that they said orginally that they had to increase due to high fuel prices...but now that gas is down and the economy is in the toilet you would think that they would keep prices low so more people will shop there.

i seen the slippers for $2-very nice and comfy betther than the cheap $1 ones
baby onesies-blue,green,orange,purple and striped
girl and boy bath sets
candles for $2-look cheaper than $1 ones lol

I don't mind 2.00 for something of better quality but we will have to be careful of what they are pricing for 1.00 or 2.00

I noticed a lot of candles today at $2 as well. They were really nice too, not like the cheapy ones they have for a $1

im happy that what they carry now wont increase, just the new stock
