The Calgary store have been having problems for quite some time now! Definitely called the health dept in your area- something needs to be done quickly and perhaps some fines! As for the cereal what brand was it? It was was a specific brand I would call that company and let them know also.

Is that the one at Country Hills and Sarcee or the Country Hills one by the movie theatre?
I only ask because the other day I was at the Country Hills and Sarcee RCSS and asked to speak to a manager because every single jar of cheese wiz on the shelf was expired and wanted to ensure they knew that (I was there to return one I had already bought the week before). THe manager was so freaking rude to me and told me that people didn't care about stuff like that and she could put 50% off stickers on them and they'd sell out. Then she turned around and walked away without so much as a "goodbye".
So yah, they don't care. And you'll never get anywhere by emailing customer service. At best you'll get an empty apology and a promise to "look into it."
I wrote an email to customer service about a different issue and it took about 2 weeks to get a response.

Definitely call the health department and even your local |MP they can direct you to the right place and will even follow up on your complaint which will ensure action is taken. A paper trail is always great so document dates and approx times and who you spoke to. Keep complaining and if you have friends and family that encounter similar problems get them to complain too. That is most serious and someone could become hospitalized or even die from such unsanitary conditions!!!

OMG! That is the worst RCSS story I've ever heard! I would be going straight to the health board. The bird, meat, and duct tape issues alone are enough to have them severely investigated.
Please do let us know what happens.

If you think yours in bad try coming to the Westwinds one. I've often shopped at country hills because it was cleaner... They really do not care about customer service, I have been told they will call me back too many times to count. I would call the health region and make a formal complaint.

I just thought of this... RCSS has a survey open right now (for a chance to win $$) but you could fill it out and hope that someone might take notice. Hopefully other customers from that location will do the same... it's worth a shot! The survey site is:

well 2 weeks of phoning and I finally got someone who seemed somewhat chagrined by what had been going on. Apparently the store says they got rid of the bird 2 months ago, there was a meeting in the meat dept. about the chicken and there will be another meeting about the cereal. They've offered me a 30$ gc as compensation and about a million apologies. It's really left me quite disgusted with that company.
