Happy Mother's Day !!

I'm thankful for a happy, healthy family but am personally struggling with, yet another, virtual Mother's Day celebration.

Last year's "Mother's Day from afar" was a bit difficult because it was my first Mother's Day as a proud Nana. I'd met my granddaughter on the day she arrived and was lucky enough to spend some quality time during her first 6 months - before lockdown began in March 2020.

This second Mother's Day, again spent in lockdown, is all the more difficult as I'm now a Nana twice and I've not yet had the honour of meeting my newest, now 6 wk old granddaughter, except via Skype.

I'm thankful that video chat technology exists - but it just ain't the same as holding, hugging and kissing your baby's babies!!
