Good morning fellow Canucks!

Sorry I have been AWOL lately. I ended up catching the Covid.

It was very untimely as I ended up cancelling a trip to Newfoundland. Three years ago I won a trip to Newfoundland to chase icebergs. Since I won the prize in July 2019, the trip was set for June of 2020. Then the pandemic put a monkey wrench (not to be confused with monkey pox) into the works. A few months ago, I contacted the contest people and they said they would still honour the trip, so they sent me a new Air Canada voucher, the hotel was booked and even though the outfitter did not make any plans to do any tours this year, they made an exception for my wife and me.

When I contacted the contest people about the Covid, they were willing to postpone the trip. It looks like the next time I can go would be in August or September, long after the icebergs have gone. But I will probably just rent a car and toot around the Gros Morne National Park and Corner Brook areas.

I have an Alaskan cruise booked for July. I better not catch anything before that.
