Today is June 2'nd & is National Cancer Survivors Day. It sure is making me think & I know that "it" has intruded into all of our lives in one way or another. So here's to all the wonderful people who are continuing to survive & to the people that were stolen away; we will never forget you. xxx


You never know what lies around the corner or may lie in wait,
Illnesses endeavour to take over & will even try to dictate,
You examine life in depth & with hope you continue along,
Stories of endurance inspire with a brave nudge to be strong,
You do not live with cancer; “it” tries to live with you,
As “it” is most deserving of a heave-ho & a rather blunt adieu,
The burden & weight of sadness can almost pull down the sky,
For no logic can be grasped & fairness does not apply,
So unkind, unsophisticated & unmannered; such audacity!
We know “it” has no standing when before the ethics committee,
When things like “it” slither into our lives it is a wake up call,
I wish “it” was an app - which no power could ever install!

g.m. every1. haven't been around for awhile.
In an awful lot of pain; slipped discs, pinched nerve & muscle strains.
On heavy duty meds that I've never had before, & they sent me over the edge.
I had every side effect on the list.
On Pregablin for nerve pain; Oxycodone HCI for pain (long lasting); and Oxycodone/Acet (for break through pain)
Anyhow, can barely function. Really weak & shaky, blurred vision, vomiting, dizziness, etc.., so won't be on much for a few more days till my body gets use to these meds.
Just wanted to say hello.
