    Thank you for this thread.

I definitely need to be here more. And am totally ready for spring.

I have alot of plans for April...
Including starting my spring garden ... lettuce and spinach!!!
I am totally over the trying to find lettuce in stores... I won't buy American lettuce. The pain of the weekly hunt Is annoying . I cannot wait till I can harvest from my own garden again.

Nice to be here. I will try and be here more

Afternoon i am a happy camper sort of,i got my crown into my implant today ,so happy not to be toothless anymore(it was 3rd tooth in so not that noticible if i didnt smile). Now i have a huge smile .

The part that is not happy is the payment -i dont know yet as we have a new company plan they may cover 50 or 60% we will see when i go back in 2 weeks for an adjustment .

Then popped into fortinos and got my turkey butterball 1.49 a pound =22.42-30.00 p.c points =so free plus $7.58 towards my other few deals.

On the reduced table i got (2) nice and easy hair dye 8.24-50%=4.12 each
    Pantene high end shampoo 6.54-50%=3.27
    Carols daughter shampoo 8.94-50%=4.47

Then hubby and i went for a country drive and walk in a small town ,went to a cheese place bought all canadian products -cheese is made on site.
Then went to a local nursery "the watering can "never was there before so beautifull, bought a small plants $3.00 very reasonable price .Then we came home .
Sun shining so much but still cold 2 degrees .

Toughest thing I did yesterday was float on a innertube down the lazy river in Mexico. We stocked up on groceries and and are making our own meals in the condo.

My kit kat salted gooey caramel bars have been discontinued . I called Nestle and they were no help at all, as I explained the stores had started carrying this product recently starting late last year but she couldn't find it and told me to keep looking for old stock. Really? I have checked every store possible and no luck. Why do companies keep gross flavours on the shelf but something this delicious gets discontinued? Its still showing up on the kitkat.ca site at a smaller size (99grams versus old 120 grams) but not on the main nestle.ca website.

You can always check out the discount amalgamation stores. They often get discontinued stock. If I find any out here, I'll send them your way.

Lol, I was in the March thread wondering where everyone had gone because I totally missed it is April🤦♀️. We had a beautiful day today and then Thursday is supposed to raining and snowing and we have 90 minute drive to the airport. We are back in Ontario for about a month before we return for summer. I can’t wait. I love summer in NS.

Good Morning! Sunny warm day today with no bad weather? Woohoo!

We lost power Saturday evening till Tuesday at noon. Not as bad as others (some still don't have power)
Thankfully our freezer was fine! I did put all our fridge perishables in the drawers or in big bowls and added freezer bags full of snow/ice and that saved that stuff!
Good thing we had a big pasta dinner Saturday night with lots of leftovers- heated dinner up Sunday on the stove using tealights in muffin tins and it worked!
We could have pulled the BBQ out but it was really cold/crappy that night. We made it through and are appreciative of having power now!
And our hot water tank lasted us the entire time- many hot showers were taken which was wonderful (but I didn't push it to wash my hair!!- Very long hair that I didn't want to be stuck washing in cold water or having it wet when going to bed)

Food Basics for the win on fresh stuff we need. Will pop out there at some point today.

    Have a great day!

@Frugalbigmama that almost sounded like a fun family survival adventure! We went through that like others during that major power outage ( forget the year now? ).
Ours lasted a bit more than 48 hours iirc? Other neighbourhoods had it much worse and lost their freezer contents.
Frugal day today, just filled the gas tank, came back here and made a couple of work meals for the guys using stuff from freezer/fridge and leftovers.
One of these days I'd like to get the 2 of them on board to do an entire " no spend " weeks/month? Just to see what and how many entrees we can make
( and live off of ) from all our stockpiles.
