The Manicotti shells are stuffed, floating submerged in piquant sauce and placed in the fridge overnight.
Tomorrow I'll bake it, then spread the sour cream, grated Tex Mex cheese over top, sprinkle with
chopped green onions and sliced black olives. Bake a further 10 min or so.......First time to make this.
Mexican Manicotti!!

One batch (24 ) Italian Ricciarelli cookies. I ground my own almonds to make the flour! It was fun.

Hubs baked some cracked wheat bread and I made some cream of asparagus soup to go along with it. I bought the asparagus marked down for .50 cents at the discount produce store-and green onions were only .25 cents. Who the heck sells produce for .25 or .50 cents these days.

lol!!! @lizzie bargain I admire that tag team soup and bread meal you guys made. Grocery prices may be the real cause of my BP spikes.
We are really NOT supposed to be eating bread ( simple carbs ) so when I see the cheapest loaves of white sliced death bread up to $2.99
per loaf in some stores I should be glad we ain't buying any. But....it's can be triggering as we have cravings.
This morning I started ( in my stand mixer ) a massive dough to make 18 " kaiser buns ". ( total of 15 cups of flour! )
The first proofing is happening right now. These soft buns come out so perfect. I add sesame seeds and dry herbs to
the tops some of them before they bake.
This time I used some double zero flour along with AP, also added the Fleishman's Bread Booster product. Clearly this i
s me trying to justify eating these saying I'm savings money with a homemade option. Carry on cooks.

Left some of them a wee bit too long, but they didn't taste burnt, thank goodness
