    Hummus recipe
    Ingredients

    • 1 Can (14 ounce) Chick Peas skinned
    • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Tahini
    • 1 Teaspoon Garlic pressed
    • 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
    • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
    • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • Sea Salt to taste

    Instructions

    1. Put the skinned chickpeas in a blender or food processor with the tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and cumin and blend until smooth. Add sea salt to taste. If the mixture seems a little stiff or too dry for your blender to cope with it, then just add a little water. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil. Makes about 1 cup.

    White Bean Dip
1 x 424 gram can of white kidney beans (cannellini would be great, too)
2 cloves of garlic, minced very fine
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1/2 tsp ground coriander
    2 Tbsp olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    Method
Drain the beans well in a sieve. Dump all ingredients in a food processor and pulse away until you have a creamy but not perfectly smooth texture. Move the contents around with a spoon or spatula half way through to make sure the spices are well blended. Serve with raw veggies and crackers.

    Cheese Cracker Spread

    2 blocks cream cheese
    1 cup mayo
1 ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1 can flakes of ham
    4 chopped green onions
    Parmesan cheese
    French bread
    crackers

    1. In a medium sized bowl combine cream cheese, mayo, cheddar cheese, flakes of ham, and green onions with an electric mixer.
    2. Cut top off French bread loaf and pull out the soft inside of the loaf. Cut up these pieces of bread and reserve for later use.
    3. Fill hollowed out loaf of bread with cheese mixture and smooth out. Wrap loaf in tinfoil, leaving top exposed. Bake in 350F oven for 1 -1 1/2hrs. 5 minutes before the loaf is done cooking, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and put back in oven.

    4. Serve with the pieces of bread and crackers. Don’t forget to eat the “bowl” as the dip is almost eaten.

My aunt always makes this at the holidays. I got the recipe from her years ago. I am now know for this recipe among my friends. I tend to enjoy baking a lot, so I am well known for my sweets.

    Dreamy Creamy Avocado Dressing Recipe

    Ingredients (Yields: 1 cup)

This is an absolutely delicious dressing which requires no oil! Remember avocado contains water and its own enzymes and is much less dense than oil, making it a better fat source.

    • 1 Avocado
    • 1 small clove of garlic, minced
    • ¼ cup filtered water
    • 1 Tbs. fresh dill
    • ½ tsp. raw honey or 3 drops liquid stevia
    • ½ tsp. Celtic sea salt
    • 2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice

    Directions

Cut the avocado in half, peel and chop into small pieces and put into blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until creamy and smooth. Can be used as a dip for vegetable sticks, or tossed through greens for a fantastic salad.
