I think its good that you called them and complained so they will try to imporve. And its even better that they made you happy
. I know how it feels like. Once I called and asked to hold some thing at Canada Computers and rushed in nasty snowy weather to pick the item. But the store told me they did not have it any more. Since the weather was so bad and shops were all empty I stressed how could they be out of stock with nobody around. They asked some supervisor etc. and finally went in the back room and brought the item for me. So I believe any store could play dumb and fully capable of giving customers hard time.

It's too bad the employee wasn't upfront with you but great that you were compensated. I can't imagine any place that would set aside a wii fit right now. To get ours I taxi'd to Toys 'r Us half an hour before they opened and I was the 35th person in line! And that's in Saskatchewan weather. luckily they only allowed one per person and there were 42.

Its happened to me with Home Depot. When I compalined nothing came out of it. I have since stopped shopping there.

I noticed today that the points were not in my Optimum account, so I called and asked when they would show and she said there was a mistake and they weren't added so she was going to add on another 2000 pts on top of the 30000.

This is the same issue way back when Shoppers carry Ipod. I have spoken to a couple of the managers, apparently the supply was control by Apple and Nintendo respectively. The stores get their supply base on auto distribution. If they get them, they get them. I would get the employee's name and ask for the price of the product just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. Most employees r not knowledgeable about regular products let alone electronics to begin with.

Unfortunately, best case scenario, the employee will get spoken to... :o( Happes way too often. Damn incompetent staff.
