I received an Ocean Spray Cranberry Cookbook a couple of days ago, it's really nice!

Yesterday: Coupons from COOLGIRL! and my first train arrived!! YEAH!!

Today: Not arrived yet (the mail I mean) our postal carrier is really slowwwww arrives after 2pm most days...LOL

Hoping for coupons! LOL... I love going to the mail box now.

LOL I love how everyone thinks there mail man is a mail man first of all (unless of course you know they are a man) and second how everyone thinks if their mail is past 2pm they are slow.... There is more to their job then just delivering the mail hahaha and in some cases, for carriers anyways, their routes could be 15 KMs all on foot. Just think its funny that's all. It's a good thing when I carried my route was done before 1 pm otherwise ppl would have considered me slow...phewwwww!!

I haven't gotten my mail yet today... I Guess my mail lady is slow!!!

Well, I WAS disappointed that my BzzKit still hasn't arrived...but instead, I got a fabulous letter from the gov't!! THEY OWE ME $1600!!!!!
WOOHOO!!! They said it will be issued shortly, so now I play the waiting game!!

LMAO!! yeah the routes around here are usually around 12-15 Km ... I don't think anyone really realizes. There were def. days I would love to lay down and die.... like carrying with Bronchitis, slight pneumonia in -30 weather on one of the worst routes (all up hill)... I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was new and would never have called in sick and I had no idea till after work at the walk in clinic I even had slight pneumonia.
And nope you don't see too many over weight carriers but they are out there lol... I have worked with a few... and I'm no skinny minnie lol

My mail man drives from house to house
and the distance isnot large enough to drive thats for sure
it he walked more then up the very short driveways then I wouldnt be making fun of him

and to boot my mail stinks of smoke like its been sitting in his car for days
sorry but thats my rant
i think that when mail is delivered after people come home from a 9-5 job its just plan ridicules
but there is no one to complain to
I have spoken to ex mail carriers that use to deliver in my area and apparently people who deliver in my area are close to retirement because the area they have to cover is so small

i live in the boonies so they drive our mail too and they wont even pull into the driveway and knock on the door to attempt to deliver packages or anything that doesnt fit in the mail box they just stick in a notice saying come get it which means we have to take a 20min trip into town to go pick up something that they were too lazy to drop off and when we get the notices they always check off that we werent home or something stupid like that when my mom is home pretty much 24/7 and they NEVER even attempt LOL
ok thats my rant...oh and also I havent gotten mail all week

o0o I agree I wouldn't want my mail stinking like smoke either... and there is a 1-800 # to call in and complain if you chose to... it's on Canada posts website.
I have never heard of a mail man/lady driving from door to door... that would be absolutely ridiculious and actually not allowed. They can not use their own vehicles for carrying mail unless they are an RSMC (rural suburban mail carrier) and even they can't store mail in their car over night let alone a week. I would call in to complain and mention all of the facts that have been stated and an investigation will be started.

RSMC deliver to the rural areas and yes they drive... they are not letter carriers. They also do not have to deliver a parcel to your door... only if it is signature required! If they had to stop at every house they had a parcel for they wouldn't get your mail to you until midnight LMAO...

Im lucky I get my mail delivered to my bedroom door or my kitchen table (my mommys the Mail LADY). Since Ive m,oved to Oshawa I love running to the box and getting my mail dont see me complaining I also worked for Canada Post in the summer and understand the SHAT that they have to put up with I can jsut imagine what its like in the middle of winter **shutter**

PS the mail person always have their favourites Have you tried asking ur mail person to drop the parcels off. A few ppl on my moms route asked her and she will. (i.e one man is 80 and doesnt drive so she drops it off at his garage door). Did you give your mail person an xmas present maybe they will drop it off then

I used to be an RSMC when I first started and I had an older lady on route too and did that for her... they will make exceptions if you are nice and ask them.... sometimes.

if they dont have to attempt to deliver then why do mine always check off that they attempted to deliver it LOL cause all the notices I get for parcels say they attempted to drop it off and no one was home thats what pissed me off cause I thought they had to attempt and they were just being lazy and not doing it since they always checked that off and left it in our box
