Someone (s) out there is/are swiping huge stacks of tearpads; I was at Sobeys in Coventry Hills on Thurs. and they had just put out the new SS coupons - went back this evening (as I heard about the 0.75 Armstrong cheese coupons and wanted to check for them) and entire pads of the new coupons were gone. I've found myself having to rely more and more on rainchecks due to the huge influx of coupon use and "clearing of shelves."
BTW if anyone has found the Armstrong cheese coupons in North Calgary I'd love to know where. Sobeys in Coventry doesn't have them and neither does Sobeys on 32nd Ave NE.

I was out this week in the NE and hit almost every grocery store trying to find the new coupons. Almost every store was I'd say 80% cleared out and the only coupons that were left were ones that are not very popular. The dove coupons were complete ripped right out of the holders as were a few others. That is more than any person can use in a year never mind by the time the coupons expire. I'm guessing it is more than just for personal use and they are either selling, trading or someone teaching a class and needs coupon inventory to entice new students. No matter what the reason this person(s) need to learn some manners.

I had the same problem in the NE Sunridge area, tearpads completely gone form the holders, the cardboard piece from the back and all, to me this means they took the hole pad as if you get to the end you usually leave the cardboard , greedy gusses around the area I think!!!!!! Getting frustrated!!!

I don't have too much I am looking for. Maybe Sensodyne and Jamieson Vitamins. These are for my mom. After she came to visit, I realize how much she needed those but no way she can afford it. It's funny in a way that she was really happy when she was brushing here but it's also kinda sad that she couldn't afford them back home.

Was at sobeys in forest lawn today, lots of empty tear pads seriously, if people are taking more than 10 of each coupon, thats unreasonable. If you really need more than 10, come back the next day and take 10 more.. atleast give the rest of us a chance to grab a couple.

I just heard that the Self checkout clerk at The Coop on 16th Ave NE keeps all the coupons in front of her till. I wonder how many more of the stores do this.

I agree with everyone's missing/gone coupon complaints! I've also found that all too often tear pads are empty!

Clearly everyone understands the concepts of sharing and greed, yet put a coupon pad in front of some individuals, and the 'sharing' concept suddenly doesn't seem to exist - only the greed one does.

I've seen a few posts made on this site where people are posting dozens of the same coupon for trade - and it makes me question how some of them honestly came by so many... (and do they successfully trade them all before they expire?)
(No matter how interested I am in something they have, I prefer not to enter in to a trade with them)

On a positive note, for a change this past week at Sobeys and Safeway (that one surprised me) there were actually coupons!!! I felt like I'd won the lottery! Even so, I only took 6 or so of each coupon (less if the pads were almost empty).

That way there would be plenty for everyone else that came after me, and I would have a couple extras for the products I use, or extras for trade. Having experienced the sadness of an empty tear pad, I feel good knowing that when I leave a tear pad, there's plenty for the next person.

The Safeway I went to on the weekend had lots of coupon booklets- but all the coupons had been pulled out!!! I'm sure the coupons are ending up on ebay and filling the 'gift bags' that many people get when they take a coupon class. It really is sad.

I'm also sad I missed the swap! One day.....
