Thanks AnnNoe! I was actually sitting with hubby and we were discussing our favorite places to eat. I made a list and emailed them all, just to let them know what we think, how often we go, etc. =) Most are more than willing to send something if you don't actually ask for it

Here is who I have emailed so far. I have others on my list that I plan to email over the next little while.

J&J - compliment, asked for coupons - sending small package of coupons as well as a FPC!

Lipton - compliment, asked for coupons - pending

Playtex Feminine Products - compliment, asked for coupons - sending coupon

Dove - compliment, question on product, asked for coupons - replied stating product in question has been discontinued but made a recommendation for a suitable replacement; will add me to mailing list for "periodic mailings and promotions"

Playtex Baby - compliment, asked about replacement part (and mentioned that I specifically couldn't find it on their website) & asked for coupons - received a reply with link to website for replacement part (will try to call)

Hah! They sent me pampers ones that look just like that. I really don't like how they printed my name on it, like the cashier needs my full name when I am purchasing diapers? lol

I emailed tea companies. I got samples from Twinings and Stash, as well as nice quick replies. Tetley tells me they don't send out samples, although when I then complained about their packaging (non-recyclable plastic on round tea canisters), they sent me 2 FPC's. Didn't hear anything back from Loblaws/PC products.
Complimented Nature Clean on their packaging and got some $1 coupons.

@Seventhwave - I wonder if it is to keep a tally of how many people actually use the coupons? Or to prevent fraud/selling them or other similar stuff?

I got an email back from Campbell's, they are sending me an FPC for any of their products (complimented their soups, how much I love them and use the quite often).

A great one if you are expecting (and please don`t abuse this, because women who are expecting really could use this one) is emailing medela, complimenting their pumps or asking if they offer coupons for pumps, they sent me a great package full of samples, same with lanisonoh.

I complimented Colgate and let them know that I don't have any cavities. Within hours I got a very polite e-mail and they said that coupons where on the way.
