Product: Live Clean Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Gel
Company URL: http://www.live-clean.com
Why I bought it: Always looking for healthier products for my family. There's a very nice looking display in my Superstore, and it says 98% plant ingredients, Eco Friendly, and made in Canada
On the Label: Plant Derived, Paraben Free, Alcohol Free, Silicone Free, Pure Vegan, Never Tested on Animals, SLS/Sulfate Free, biodegradable, Certified Organic Botanicals
The PRICE! 350 ML regularly priced at 6.99 - sale priced at 4.99
I've seen it at Superstore and Shoppers Drug Mart
The service: I found it interesting that it says "Certified organic" but not who it's certified by, so i dropped them a line and asked, as well as how many days it takes to biodegrade - NO response
The good, the bad, and the ugly:
Ok I REALLY want to like this product, small Canadian company and all, i just CAN'T!
The shampoo is REALLY sudsy (strange in my mind because it's SLS free). It doesn't smell bad, conditioner is quite light. I have very thick and curly hair and OMG it was a rat's nest after. I had to use copious amounts of leave in conditioner and detangler and a LOT of time to get the knots out. I did get extra body (note the thick hair - NOT something I'm looking for) and my hair actually did feel clean and did last a long time. Seriously i don't think i've every had my hair that knotty!
The gel! my spouse uses the gel - he didn't mind it - said it wasn't too stick, coated each strand nicely... Then i went to cut his hair. His ENTIRE head was WHITE with flaky gel! Very very crazy! His pillow is covered at night!
In the end i'm giving it a 3 out of 10. It's too expensive to be mediocre. If you're looking for body and your hair isn't prone to knots - it may work for you! This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Real Canadian Superstore RCSS, Shoppers Drug Mart

THanks Curls sounds like a fako alert to me.

my sister used this for a few months, but had to stop because her hair started shedding quite a bit more than usual. her hair's been fine since she stopped.

ty curls for the awesome review. I was on the same page with you. It's a product that you so bad want to like..but it's not living up to your expectations. what a shame. esp since we canadians are so inventive.
