I was wondering, I read a couple of your posts regarding reps. I was wondering why sometimes the icon for reps is not there.

Twice now I have had to find another post by that person and give it for that. ( yours happened to be one ) Any ideas??

After 4 weeks, a post becomes too old to give rep to. So, any posts within the last 4 weeks.. you can still give rep to.

I'm wondering if admin can be convinced to maybe make the rep time period extended?
That's really a short amount of time IMO. I usually rep at the time of reading a post but sometimes a post is a bit older and might still be valid or just excellent information. I also just joined in May so there are a ton of posts that I would love to rep, but i can't. I'm in the freebie section alot and have received items 6 weeks later but can't spread the love

Ashling, I don't think people really pay attention to what post they got the rep for, just happy they got it.

True most times, i agree . If the time period were extended though, a person could get more well deserved reps for great posts though

thank goodness for this post, i was totally confused on was rep was all about, lol. and i couldnt figure out why..after learning how to do it that it wast working itll i saw that you can only rep 4 weeks after the post.

Giving rep is positive, it's giving you a chance to like what someone has posted, or just leave a nice comment.

I would presume if you want to say something negative about someone's post, that would be best handled in a PM to them.
