You can get some great things, it seems. I've never been lucky enough to be able to be quick enough. LOL I have given away a handful of things, including a glass shower door last month.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your membership to be accepted?
Seems like a great idea ... I always have stuff lying around my house that will eventually make it to the curb, so why not recycle it!Mimi G

I've given away a few things on freecycle and received one. My hometown has sucky things, haha.

dave, those quite often show up as offers on our Saskatoon site, along with the benches, so you never know.....
And if no one replies say in the next week, wait a few weeks at least, then repost. Different people look at the site at different intervals.

Edmonton is called Freecycle but if you want to know if your town has one go to http://www.freecycle.org/ and put in where you live. Even a lot of smaller centers have them. I just posted on my blog today about Earthcycle (Edmontons). Great way to get rid of stuff you will never use and may not be able to sell.
