I thawed a lonely steak yesterday so I better cook that up today. There is also a lonely sweet potato that has been kicking around the fridge for a long time! Sauteed some onions and green beans and that sounds like a good dinner!
This morning I made up a very large roast pan of lazy cabbage. It's for our extended family Christmas Pot luck on Saturday.
( food like this always tastes better the next day! ). The slabs of pork ribs are all dry herbed coated and resting in the fridge,
will slow roast them tomorrow. The 2 bags of split chx wings will be done in the air fryer, probably dusted with herbs as well.
I'm going to bring bottled BBQ sauce for the buffet table for any that want to drown their ribs and wings in it....ha ha
Also a tub of sour cream for the lazy cabbage. It will be absolutely heartwarming to see everyone again!
Cauliflower soup with baked ham and yam-apparently I am into rhyming foods today. More like that is what I saw when I opened the fridge-lol

My dinner was a weird combo from the hot table at Skyland. Lobster claws and tails in a soupy mixture.
SOOOO messy but very tasty. Had that with 2 Dim Sum choices.
Tonight's dinner will be free-pasta sauce I got yesterday and then free pasta from a couple of months ago. Or maybe I will splurge and grate some cheese on top!
I realize it is not Xmas yet but I am going to roast a turkey tomorrow. A small one was $18 at No Frills and stuffing was 1.23 a box. Add in the vegetables and I figure we will be eating a few days for $25.00. Works for me as the windchill is at -30 this morning.

the 3 of us left here will be coasting off of Dec 25th leftovers! There is plenty left even after gifting 4 guests
their own " doggy bags ". My sis and BIL were given extra because they loved all the dishes that were made.
Once all that stuff runs out we'll be making a big pot of turkey soup!
BBQ steak, garlic sauteed shrimp and yams.
DH made his spaghetti and meat sauce ( again! ). He sure likes making that.
I'll be making this today Grandma's Corn Chowder Recipe before the freezing rain storm arrives.
