Pizza, pizza, pizza...not take out but store bought(which is fine by me!). Usually i make all our pizzas but dh and ds have gone away for a couple of days(Toronto look out!!) and dd and i are eating all the foods that we as a family normally can't/don't eat:rolleyes:
So far today we've had REAL eggs, tin of bake beans(what can i say, i'm still looking for a decent veggie recipe thats close enough to the real thing and i miss them..its been 2 yrs people,2 yrs:shock:)...snacked on chips..and then later its pizza:excited::excited:
Am sure i'll pay for it tomorrow or the next day but heck, i'm not gonna worry about that now:top:
hoping to have hotdogs at the lake.
My bf wanted kd so thats what we had he goes away for a week comes home and wants kd lol
Oh, Mamaelmo, that's cute!!!
We had perogies, with sour cream and green onions from the garden. Yum!
today was soup kitchen day, I was tired after serving 120+ meals, so I took hamburger patties out of our freezer and that was supper ... hamburgers with onions (fried me), relish (me), mustard (dh), Steinfields pickles ;), mozza cheese slice, lettuce (dh) ... great easy supper!
We are going to DD's Food Emporium. It is a buffet place in town.
Hamburgers on the BBQ and rain!
The water was off in our building yesterday (for plumbing repairs) so we regarded that a perfect excuse to go out for supper. Brioche Cafe is a funky little place nearby that serves some of the best food in Vancouver but at about half the price you'd pay in other places.
I had the Seafood Salad of the Day special (top pic). That's a pile of local fresh crab meat on top of a heap of green beans, asparagus, snow peas, freshly sauteed garlic prawns and breaded jumbo scallops, all drizzled with a balsamic dressing. Hiding underneath were fresh strawberries, blackberries, cherries, grape tomatoes and chunks of feta cheese. The plate was so huge I only ate half and took the rest home for next day's lunch. $14.95
My other half had the Eggplant Parmigiana (bottom pic). Having lived in New York most of his life, he's a bit of a food snob but he says this beats any other Eggplant Parmigiana he's ever had hands down. $11.95
Best food, best prices! :P

OY! mcminsen, those look FAB!!! Even though I'm a huge eggplant fan, I would have gone NUTS for the dish you had!
torn between Thai Beef and noodles or Grilled Chicken BBQ Naan pizza for DH and I have no idea what to cook for me. I rarely cook 2 different meals (I'm veggie, he's meat-a-tarian), but he's craving meat.
last night was the keg we wre trying to find red lobter but we couldn't and we happened to stumble accross the keg instead it was so good :)
we had little ceasers last night
tonight bbq steaks mestique, baked potatoes and corn
Whereabouts is the Brioche Cafe?
We are staying home and probably having baked nachos with hamburger, green onion, cheese, salsa and sour cream.
