Decided to use up some not-so-homemade items to make room for more goodies...!
Fettuccine (Catelli Smart) in a roasted garlic Alfredo (Classico) - I blended in some frozen basil from last years garden, yum :-)
Baked up some Jane's chicken strips and ate it all with a large spring mix salad. Fast and tasty!
PS. I love NoName brand canned black olives. They're not too salty, which I like.
looks delish Janetta, u know what i get the kalamata olives from costco and wash them out and soak them in cold water for 2 to 3 nights and changing water from time to time to get rid of the salt, then i dry them up and put them in jars and pour good quality olive oil on them..and the more they stay in jars the better the taste turn out to be..
shepherd's pie & salad
Tex Mex salad complete with salsa, cheese, chicken and chips :P
i made baba ghanouj for tomo it goes very well with grilled chicken yums, prepared pizza sauce for a pizza night in the weekend
tonight i made some turkey sausage, red yellow and orange bell peppers, onions and mushrooms all pan fried with some garlic and evoo, a 4 cheese tomato sauce (i cheated - classico to the rescue) over whole wheat spaghetti. served with garlic french bread. very yummy!
Total cheat night - Just got back from meeting the realtor :
DH is having Salsbury Steak Hungry Man
Kids are having Swanson Chicken Pot Pies
and I'm having Spring Rolls from Costco!
Yay for free chicken! I bet it was even tastier than it otherwise might've been just from the sheer delight of knowing it was free. :)
I was lazy tonight and didn't feel like cooking so we did a junk food meal-hot dogs and french fries. Made a salad last minute cuz I couldn't bear all that starch and fat without veggies. My conscience got the better of me. LOL
Gosh, I miss cooking! - my back is better, but I'm not up to standing much yet.
Last night my husband made Mr. Noodles (yeah, he didn't listen to directions on how much water, nor did his 'fix' work, but it was hot and edible, lol!), and my son made two Delissio pizzas.
Well...It is Friday and I don't wish to cook so I will do some nice, yummy leftovers...LOL...
Mexican Tomato Soup!! Not too bad really. :)
Tonight I think I'll have some lasagna. However this morning I made homemade vegan pop tarts. Just letting them cool down right now. You can find the recipe in my blog in my signature.
and yes there is a link there back to smartcanucks, thank you very much lol. ;)
I will post on there later(and probably here too) how they worked out. :)
BF and I are both sick and I do not feel like cooking after work so were going to order pizza from Pizzaville a gluten free chicken pesto for me and prob a think crust chicken pesto for him.
Well Gojays was talking about salads and inspired me to make a summer pasta salad - Catelli Bistro Tri-Colour Rotini, raw broccoli, raw celery, raw cauliflower, green pepper, red pepper, vinegar and seasoning salt and keep in fridge and stir often - add cherry tomatos before serving - you can add flaked canned tuna but I'm allergic to fish.
Sooo yummy
Tonight I am actually getting off my behind early (I'm heading out to a girls night later...)
Stuffed Chicken breast (asparagus & cheese) for DH & DD, baked yams and steamed broccoli. I'm having a BBQ'd steak instead of chicken Mmmm (I'm craving steak, so baby is getting spoiled)
100% Homemade pizza. yum!
Happy Friday everyone! :)
I made those vegan pop tarts and they turned out not too bad. I had one a few mins ago with my dinner, lol. They were a bit doughy but not bad. I just think I should have left in the oven a minute longer. In a couple weeks I will try them again.
This pic is without the icing..

But Monday I'm going to try these vegan onion rings I found online, just need to buy some onions sun morning when I'm at walmart after work. Check the recipe out in my blog found in my sig, the stupid picture is making me drool lol. ;)
I think we'll have chicken parmesan or chicken marsala.
Lastnight we had chicken wraps using the chicken breasts that are on sale a No Frills this week, very good chicken!!
Since there were some chicken chunks leftover I have decided we would have macaroni casserole with chicken chunks added in and a side of garden salad.
Hopefully something "out" :)
Last night, had takeout Chinese food.
Tonight I'm making chili - if it can be still called chili once I put in all the veggies I have to use up!
Yeah, it'll still be chili....
not sure. after eating a lb of icing sugar decorating a cake for my neighbors daughters birthday i shouldn't be hungry. will see what the hubby said once the kitchen is clean.
Salad with red peppers and cucumbers, and Perogies with salsa and sour cream. YUM! I was thinking of going out for drinks afterwards, but sitting in the living room is much better than moving...
I don't know what we are eating tonight. I have not been feeling very good today, so I just got up from a nap.
Tomorrow we are planning on having kabobs with marinated pork, mushrooms, cellery, and onion. We are also going to cook sliced potatoes and onions in tinfoil on the bbq for supper. I'm looking forward to it. Leftovers for lunch on Monday.
Egg noodles, stir fry beef and steamed broccoli. Yum yum yum!
We order in from the East Indian Shop down the street so yummy but my mouth is on fire - and now were making tandorri chicken wings for the hockey game.
dh didn't feel like going out after all. I made veggie meat loaf, regular rice for him, brown rice for me, peas, stewed lentils, and salad. Rolo ice creams bars for dessert
