I'm thinking that a covert garden raid at my in-laws is in order for tonight. New potatos, peas, carrots, onions, and baby beets...and I suppose I'll have to throw something on the grill for my carnivore. Homemade poppy seed rolls for dessert! Mmmm...
meatloaf, creamy mashed potatoes and summer sweet peas from the garden. oh, and of COURSE pillsbury crescent rolls :) im drooling already. come on 5pm!! :)
tonight schnitzel, mashed potatoes and stir fried broccoli
Aw, I want all of these since my last post - especially the schnitzel - haven't had it in ages. However, Safeway has pork roast on sale this week, so maybe I can convince my husband to make it this weekend. Yes, I can make it, but his is better - that Eastern European flair, you know. He takes the time to pound the pieces paper thin --- droool.
And man, poppyseed buns.... hey, it's not going to be hot the next few days, maybe I can actually bake! I tend to get out of the habit when summer is hot.
Visit the in laws????......
Kidding. Probably grilled chicken with fresh Okanagan peaches and basmati rice with a shredded side salad.
mmm harbie sounds delish
Homemade Lasagna with cheesy garlic bread and a salad with apple.. yumm
I am starving, should not have read this thread today. Dinner tonight since its cool and rainy: beef roast with potaoes and carrots with a fresh garden salad.
Since I've had red meat 2 nights in a row.....I'm having something light tonight.
Scrambled egg on a whole wheat Italian bread, topped with mayo and spring greens.
Maybe some broccoli on the side.
LMAO!!! Yup, blame it on the shopping. I like Old Navy on my potatoes, too.
tonight is chicken strips in a wrap with pepper mayo and lettuce mmmm we make them close to what kfc makes but they taste better homemade
Mmm...everyone's dinners sound so yummy tonight!
Thats what I think too, since the roast will need to cook for awhile I decided to utilize my oven and have made an angel food cake for desert and also a lemon cake and some cupcakes for work lunches, since I'm sure there will be roast beef sandwiches as well. I like it when its cool it inspires me to bake. Yesterday I made 5 loaves of bread, a couple dozen ham/pineapple pizza buns and 3 doz cinnamon buns. Now I know thats not whats for dinner tonight but thats what we had for dinner last night, and lunches are looked after for the week.
